Great Quality, Great protection

Nick in CA – Machine this part was bought for: 2008 KAWASAKI KLR650

Comments On Nov 02, 2015:This was used for my wife's bike. It helps keep the wind off of her chest and in turn keeps her warmer. I'm 6'-3" and when I ride, the air coming off the top of the windshield just catches my adventure helmet. Sometimes this can create an annoying vibration in my helmet.
This would be a user specific issue due to my height. This windshield was easy to install and has been holding strong for almost two years now.

Very large, buffets at speed

Isaac in NM – Machine this part was bought for: 2001 SUZUKI DR650SE

Comments On Sep 27, 2013:This was installed on my bike by the PO, so I can't comment on the installation process. However, as someone who used it for a while, I can say that I like the way my bike rides much better without it than with it. There was definitely a large pocket of calm air behind the windshield, but the buffeting where the air hit my helmet was just too much for me to live with on the highway every day. Because this bolts directly to your number plate, it's only as stable and sturdy as the that mounting surface. Because the DR650 number plate is only held on by three bolts on the bottom half of it, wind hitting the shield was constantly making it deflect and change positions/angles. This meant that where the air was hitting me was constantly shifting as I rode down the highway. If your bike has a sturdier place to mount this windshield, this may work better for you than it did for me.

Perfect fit, super quality.

Comments On Apr 12, 2011:At first I was not excited about drilling holes in my existing headlight/number plate due to concerns about the resulting add-on look and stability. Rest assured this shield looks like an OEM product and takes about 30 minutes to install, very sturdy.
