Our informative video will walk you through how to install the Tusk SubZero Plow Mount on the Kawasaki Brute Force in a short amount of time. Trust us to have the answers and instructions you need – every time.
Today, we are going over the Tusk SubZero snowplow mount installation on the Kawasaki Brute Force.
Having the correct tools and some assistance will make the job a lot easier. For this video, we've stood the machine up so you can see what we are doing. You need to safely support the machine in order to gain access to the undercarriage for insulation.
The first thing we are going to do is remove the stock skid plate. Loosen the top two bolts on that center skid plate with a 10-millimeter socket. After that, we're going to remove the 4 bottom bolts on the center skid plate. Once you've got all 4 bolts removed, we can now remove the stock center skid plate. With that out of the way, we can go ahead and tighten the 2 bolts we had loose to hold the front section of the skid plate on the machine.
Now it is time to install the plow mount. I like to get an idea of where the plow mount's going to sit on the frame. To do that, hold the plow mount up against the frame, and this will give you an idea of where your clamps are going to sit. These are the locations on this machine. Now is a great time to grab a helper. They can hold the plow mount up against the frame while you install the U-clamps onto the frame rails and thread the bolts into the clamps.
Now it's time to check our gaps, and make sure the plow mount is sitting straight on the frame rails. We can go ahead and tighten the bolts up. Make sure to tighten the bolts evenly so that it's pulling the U-clamp straight towards the plow mount. Once you are done with that, double-check your hardware and make sure everything's tight. Enjoy your Tusk SubZero Snow Plow.
