Tusk SubZero ATV Snow Plow Mount Installation - Polaris Sportsman 550/850

Our informative video will walk you through how to install the Tusk SubZero Plow Mount on the Polaris Sportsman 850 in a short amount of time. Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is your online information source for several online videos that provide step-by-step instructions.

This is the installation video for the Tusk SubZero snowplow mount on the Polaris Sportsman 850.

It's important to have the correct tools and some assistance; it will make the job a lot easier. We've stood this machine on-end to better show you the installation process. You'll need to safely support your machine in order to gain access to the undercarriage for installation.

Part 1 is removal of the stock skid plate. In order to do this, we need to remove the pop rivet on the right side of the machine. This is connected to the center skid plate and needs to come out for removal. We also need to remove the 4 bolts holding that skid plate on. Once we get those out, we can go ahead and pop that inner fender piece out of the center skid plate and remove the center skid plate.

With the stock skid plate removed, we can move on to Part 2 of this video, which is installation of the plow mount. I like to get an idea of where my clamps are going to sit on the frame rails. To do that, hold the plow mount up against the frame, and that will tell you the location of your clamps. These are the locations of this machine. Now is a great time to grab a buddy, somebody to help hold that plow mount up while you get the threads started on each of the bolts.

On this plow mount, go through the center cutout hole to install the bottom 2 clamps. Once you get all of the bolts started, we're going to check the alignment on the frame. If everything looks straight, go ahead and tighten up the bolts. Make sure that you're tightening the bolts evenly so that it pulls the clamp straight towards the plow mount.

Once you're done tightening those, double-check your hardware and make sure that everything is tight. Enjoy your Tusk SubZero Snow Plow.
