The best thing you can do to your KLR

Probably the single most transformative upgrade to the KLR I've done. No more deep diving during braking. It feels quite planted and along with the rear spring, the bike now has real suspension. The install is also one of the easier things I've done. If you're just doing a spring change, this job is as simple as an oil change. If opting to change fork oil, add about an hour. I opted for both and other than a torque wrench, I didn't need any special tools.

    Progressive Suspension Products

Have the Progressive 465 rear shock plus their fork springs w/ emulators on my 2011 KLR650. Have a friend who's had KLR's since beginning of time. We rode dessert last week and he said he bottomed in one section so we swapped my 2011 for his new/used 2012 for a stint... we've been back for 2 days and he already has his orders in for rear and fork mods. Yes the cost adds up but money spent won't be regretted.

    What a Difference

What a difference this kit makes! Such better handling, less brake dive, easier cornering. Harleys are not exactly performance automobiles, but this does help make them more maneuverable. My Sportster is fun to ride again!
