A little tough to get them started on the ratchet, but great once you do. I think that's a common problem with ratcheting straps. Maybe I'm just an idiot!

Honestly if you aren't using soft loops on your handlebars you should be

These tie downs are inexpensive and secure. The soft loop saves your bar from scuffs and the carabiner end stays on you anchor point. Never had a slipping buckle.
