    Extra set of hands

Im learning to change dirtbike tires so I can swap a tube trailside if needed, and im telling myself that I can now, with an extra set of hands. This stand makes it too easy, I tried one on the stand, and then the same tire off the stand and it took me 4x longer without using this thing. The rubberized coating on the rim is very nice to protect spokes. Ive changed tires on two of our bikes now so its almost paid for itself already.

  • Tusk Motorcycle Wheel Balancing and Truing Stand

Tusk Motorcycle Wheel Balancing and Truing Stand

NOT REALLY A TRUING STAND! Balancing only.

Mine arrived missing one of the feet, which happens with any product from time to time. I'm not knocking it down for that. The reason for the poor review though, is that this isn't really a truing stand. This is a balancing stand, with a very poor effort made at adding on a little "rim pointer" . If you google balancing stand you'll see this product, sans the rim pointer. Google truing stand, and you'll see a real truing stand, with 4 bolts at the base of each arm and two additional shafts down below the removable truing shaft that can be made very tight against the motorcycle hub, and that do not exhibit flex or lateral movement. I'm surprised that Rocky Mountain carries this product, it's really very sub par. I won't hold it against them though as I had no issue returning it.
