    Like a Juggernaut.

The previous review mentions the zippers, the way this brace works the strength of it is not relying on the zippers. The chest plate straps and kidney belt is what holds the plates to your body. This brace feels strong when wearing it. Although I could not imagine wearing a jersey over the brace, it is really bulky. But I like it and it feels like it is worth the price tag.

    Durability issues

The braces started great with fitment, function, and slim feel being an improvement over previous braces used in the past. Soon after initial fitment the plastic guard extensions that attach to the lower carbon fiber developed fitment issues. Later the metal studs pulled free completely. A few rides later the attachment points for the straps began to give out preventing a good fit. To be fair this was over the period of several months and riding events. These braces were great to start but wore out faster than they should have.

    Surprised how comfortable

I was really surprised how comfortable this chest proctor felt. I was concerned about the rib protector feeling constricting , but I discovered the rib protector actually held the chest protector in place and it felt like I wasn't wearing a chest protector at all. No bouncing or sliding around like my other chest protects, including another Leatt model that I was using. I really forgot I was wearing it. Picking up the chest protector, it feels heavy, but really the weight is unnoticeable when wearing. Again, very surprised. The should pad connection system could use some work. I see some concerns of longevity, but the sliding connection system does allow the should pads to move into a natural position and were not an issue when riding. Heat was my other concern, but on my first ride it was around 88 degrees with very high humidity. I was really surprised how comfortable the chest protector felt. Price could be cheaper and I hope the should pad mounting holds up, but for now I'm very happy with the protector.

    Leatt Fusion 3 chest/neck protector

Seems to fit ok but the shoulder pad snaps look cheap and they come loose while riding. Leatt does not have a solution and said the snaps are not covered under warranty. They were very slow to respond and when they did it was recommended I use tape to help hold snaps in place!

    Great fitting neck brace

Bought one for myself and one for my son before heading out to Pismo...glad we did not need to test these live... The neck brace is comfortable to wear over or under a jersey. Took a few minutes to get used to the feeling of wearing a collar, but after a bit I did not notice it sitting on my shoulders. Set up was straightforward, the instructions were clear. T
