  • Tusk Motorcycle Wheel Balancing and Truing Stand

Tusk Motorcycle Wheel Balancing and Truing Stand

    Ken in CA

NOT REALLY A TRUING STAND! Balancing only.

Mine arrived missing one of the feet, which happens with any product from time to time. I'm not knocking it down for that. The reason for the poor review though, is that this isn't really a truing stand. This is a balancing stand, with a very poor effort made at adding on a little "rim pointer" . If you google balancing stand you'll see this product, sans the rim pointer. Google truing stand, and you'll see a real truing stand, with 4 bolts at the base of each arm and two additional shafts down below the removable truing shaft that can be made very tight against the motorcycle hub, and that do not exhibit flex or lateral movement. I'm surprised that Rocky Mountain carries this product, it's really very sub par. I won't hold it against them though as I had no issue returning it.

Better than stock but not ebc

I've had this brake system on my 07 Honda cr250rabout 3 years now and I've had a Yamaha 450 with the EBC contour oversized system on it and i definitely liked the EBC system a lot better it had a lot more stopping power than the tusk. The risk is still better than stock but I think it's worth the $60 to get the EBC

    It not the best

The 04 KTM has snug cables this mirror is short I was only able to mount it on the left side and had to hang it upside down to see anything out of it besides my shoulder. I will say it hasn't broke yet even after laying it down multiple times.

  • Tusk Billet Race Foot Pegs

    Tusk Billet Race Foot Pegs

    A bit of overkill.

Coming off of stock foot pegs these were just too much. They felt like nearly double the width. The spikes on them are only around the outside so it felt like there was too much boot/rider weight per spike to where you actually have to lift your whole foot up to move it back and forth. I tried riding without them and then it's way too slick. I have fox instinct boots so maybe they are a slightly softer compound than others. Just a little too wide and they need another row of spikes down the middle of the peg. Just my opinion though.

Have had these for a few years now

They are still great, I love the look of these, they haven't moved an inch except when I put new grips on, even after bashing some tree's pretty hard. I would recommend these to anybody.
