never understood how a gasket could be inherently "bad" but this guy would not seal on my 525. i was astonished at how much this leaked compared to the factory "ktm" gasket i purchased later, after reading reviews about how the Tusk for whatever reason wont seal a ktm. there is a huge difference in material between the two, with tusk being green fiber and ktm being something . . . .im not sure how to describe but it is i think a grey fiber with maybe a coat of silicone. i put an extra, thin layer of rtv on the ktm gasket and it leaves not a trace of oil. the tusk would drip before my eyes. im not an idiot and have been wrenching on things for a while so i cant chalk it up to "mis-tightened" boltsRead All Reviews

I recently purchased the Hot Cams cam chain and was blown away that this chain is supposed to meet or exceed OEM. It is frail-looking in comparison and the quality of metal looks inferior and the links seem very loose for a new chain. The 100+ hour stock chain I was replacing had far less play and appeared to be the "new" chain when compared side-by-side. I returned it and will stick with OEM.Read All Reviews

The OEM timing chain tensioner is awful, since it is hydraulic, it takes some time to charge from a cold start and the engine sounds like it is going to break!! I installed the Dirt Tricks Tensioner in about 10min and the noice disappeared completely right away, now it has a better idle, it doesn´t stall on trails, it´s a night and day change, it´s a must have from the OEM!!Read All Reviews

I read the reviews and really didn't expect much, but thought it was worth a try. The gasket material is not cheap and does not seem to tear easily. I have not put oil in or ran the machine, but the head gasket seems to seal well and the bike has great compression. I also use a thin layer of permatex grey on the gaskets so I dont expect any leaks. I would say the kit is on par with Pro X etc.. I would buy again. I'm not sure if it is just a bike specific issue people have, but I'm happy with the quality. The bad: They come in a vacuum packed layout and are a little tough to get out. By tough I mean it took about 2 minutes to pull them out. Not a big deal, just something RMATV/Tusk might consider changing at some point. Thanks RMATV for supplying a quality product at an affordable price!!!Read All Reviews
