    Buy a different brand!

I put one of these in my BB Predator 558, it lasted a few months before it developed a short. These are poorly built, and had I not bought it from RM, I probably would have been screwed! RM took care of me, as always. Also when I tried to call Ballistic, I got some guys cell phone with a message.

Should have bought the factory starter.

Stats: Hours on unit: 19, Starts: 40, Battery: Lithium Ion. I was hoping this would have been an economical alternative to the more costly factory starter. During my road trip to Dumont Dunes, it failed right at the 6 month mark. I contacted customer service two weeks later after my road trip was done and was informed it was out of warranty. I like to fix things right the first time so having to change out the starter again, I will spend the extra money on a better built unit. The old adage is true; you get what you pay for.

Dirt Bike Electrical Accessories

You may think of your dirt bike as a mechanical beast ready to tear through the toughest off-road terrain. You may think of it as a finely tuned instrument that requires the utmost focus and skill to maneuver properly. But you probably don’t think of it as a modern miracle of an electrical device. And yet, that’s exactly what it is. You may not even realize how many components constitute your dirt bike’s electrical system – until they stop working. But when that happens, you know that you can count on Rocky Mountain ATV/MC to supply all of the motorcycle electrical parts you need!

While we stock a variety of OEM electrical parts, we carry an extensive selection of aftermarket parts as well. Often, these replace your stock components just as well for only a fraction of the price! And in many cases, there are aftermarket accessories to enhance your dirt bike beyond its original equipment. For example, hour meters or computers can improve your analysis of your bike. Lights (such as headlights, tail lights or turning signals) can help you get your dirt bike to street legal status. GPS navigation systems allow you to keep track of where you are when you’re out on the trail. And a winch can get you out of a tough spot – literally!

If you want to upgrade your battery to the lithium ion sort in order to drop a pound before your next motocross race, we’re happy to help. If you need a spare spark plug “just in case” for when you’re out on a secluded trail, you’re in the right place. We stock an impressive array of motorcycle electrical accessories – something for practically any occasion. And with our proprietary Parts Finder, you know you’re always getting the part that fits your specific machine. So when you think of dirt bike parts, think Rocky Mountain ATV/MC!
