I have a 1981 Honda XL185 that had been ridden HARD! It had a shredded chain guides that left bits of metal all over the interior of the motor and had clearly been super hot. Not surprisingly, I was worried the bearings would be welded to the crank. So, I put the crankshaft in the freezer for a couple hours. When I pulled it out I used a hand torch to heat the bearings on it. From there I just installed the bearing puller, during the install the tool already began to move the bearing. From there, the tool worked flawlessly and got the bearings off without any damage to the crank!Read All Reviews
