Job Requirements
  • Graphic Design degree and/or real life experience (minimum of three years) – Portfolio required.

Job Functions

  • Work with marketing directors/project managers of Westring clients to ensure business rules are enforced in interface designs
  • Work with developers to create and debug eye pleasing front-end user interfaces
  • Standardize CSS rules, look and feel of basic elements like color, text iconography, etc. throughout website
  • Will design and update internal/client-side software screens to create uniform and efficient interfaces (Java Swing Client)
  • Create user focus groups

Graphic Designer: General website marketing and event marketing Location

Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented graphic designer who can create visual solutions for different marketing pieces, primarily for email, social media, creating web marketing graphics, website landing pages and event graphics. Our ideal candidate will have an eye for good design and typography to create compelling pieces, and at the same time, be able to follow direction and follow existing brand styling rules. Candidate must be able to take a project from start to end. This is a full-time position.

Description
  • Candidate will create website banners, contest landing pages, emails, event landing pages, social media graphics, mockups for new website functionality, including writing up programming requirements, print graphics, collateral for industry events and more.
  • Will take ownership of projects assigned and work with other departments and team members within the Marketing department to get projects completed within deadlines specified.
  • Must be able to communicate ideas and concepts.
Education and/or experience
  • A high level of understanding of industry standard software and hardware including: Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Mac and PC platforms.
  • Must know how to wireframe ideas and how to work with web development teams.
  • Must have working knowledge in Microsoft office products: Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Proficient at basic html and css. Java script experience a plus.
  • Portfolio is required at time of interview: We will want to see previous, related work experience in creating marketing collateral including: web graphics, logo design, print materials, etc.
  • Strong communication skills. Must be able to convey ideas and concepts.
  • A Bachelor’s or Associates degree in design and visual communications is preferred, but not required. Also, working towards a degree in visual communications also encouraged.
