Retailer Dependant
I purchased this lights a while back and while it looks cool and operates well, the light bulb melted through the top and bottom housing! Big problem right? Well, the guys at Rocky Mountain ATV sent me a brand new one at no cost after reporting the issue. So, go with RMATV/MC and this is a great product but without them I'd be a little weary.

Nice light
Used it on my 05 Yz450f and looks and works good. Not a ton of light produced out of the 35 watt it comes with, and doesn't come with a wire harness/socket for the head lamp, but you can easily buy an 'H4' headlamp socket at your local parts store for 10$ no biggie. Put an h4 led in it if you want some halfway decent light produced.

Great product
The polisport Halo headlight was a fantastic upgrade to my bike. It is well built and looks good on my 03 crf230f. The best part for me is no longer having to worry about getting back to Camp before dark.

Works good but headlight is weak
Replace the bulb that came with the unit to a led bulb or hid bulb. I used a led bulb and it is much better

Polisport Halo Headlight
My kit was opened before receiving and the headlight pigtail was missing. I contacted customer service and they offered to sent out another unit overnight (AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE). It is not bright enough for me so I will upgrade to an LED H4 bulb. I was also disappointed that after washing I noticed there was water inside the light.

Must have!
Received my Polisport headlight for my KTM EXC 530, the quality of the light and hardware greatly exceeded my expectations. Lens is very thick, thicker than my factory one to be completely honest. Color of the plastic is spot on. Very satisfied. Shipping was very prompt aswell. Had it within a couple days. Comes with directions which won't really be needed, as it's a pretty straight forward install. Just strap to the forks like stock and some basic wiring for me to convert to H4. Although I'm sure the Philips H4 in it now is more than sufficient, especially compared to my pathetic factory light, I won't be using it. I'll be coupling the light with a 35 watt H4 Morimoto HID kit for a little extra light output and that nice HID color. If you purchase this light and want to go with an HID kit aswell, there is plenty of room behind the top part of the light, the "shield" I guess you could call it, to mount a ballast with some good quality double sided molding tape. If you're interested in purchasing it or coupling one you already have with an HID kit.

I have this on my KTM 450 XC, which is plated. Is there an LED bulb than can be converted to fit this housing? Would like to reduce the draw on the electrical side of things. Thanks in advance!
ROY S on Sep 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have a YZ125 so even with a rewound stator, I have very little power to play with. I bought a H4 bulb that had 12 SMDs. It draws a little less than 5W. It works for my purpose but the issue with LEDs is that don't always project light in every direction like an incandescent, so they don't utilize the reflector housing to its full potential and therefore don't put out as much light.

If you just need to be seen, this housing will work ok with an LED bulb but if you want good light projection, its not necessarily your best option.
Are you able to adjust the light at all from on to off? Because I am not really looking for something that will be running in the middle of the day when i'm out in the woods.
Joe B on Apr 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has no power switch. It has no wires. You need to buy the standard headlight harness (socket harness type H4/9003) and some sort of switch. I don't think they sell the harness here but I bought the Tusk Compact switch 1274950001.
What is the small bulb in the headlight?
Logan M on Mar 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Its off to the left side a little bit and its a constant running light that pulls 5 watts. I replaced the bulb with a 194 LED from super bright LED and its 10x as bright as original bulb and only pulls 1/2 watt. Not good for seeing at night but to make my 2006 crf450 street legal so cops don't bother me its perfect sense I just run off a small battery I fit in air box with no charging system.
What mounting hardware does it come with?
Richard T on Mar 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Long and short plastic adaptor plates with 4 of the rubber fork straps... similar to stock type on most honda off road bikes like the XR. Can be used without the adaptor plates as well. They just make it possible to position the whole unit farther from the forks if you have a bulky mess of wiring, or a bit longer clutch and brake cables/lines that stick out more than normal through the curve.
I installed this unit a year ago on my '92 XR 600R, along with a Cyclops 3800 series LED bulb, and the difference is phonemal. Deff one of the top 5 aftermarket add-ons I've done to date
Extremely pleased with this unit.
what do you need to wire this headlight to the plugs?
Ryan R on Aug 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Mine did not come with a plug or harness for the headlight bulb, I bought a plug with short wires from ebay to match the HS1 bulb and connected that to my bike's wiring.

the small 5W 194 daytime running light was harder to figure out, but I eventually figured out that I needed a Hitachi .110 aka Sumitomo MTW 2.8mm (.110) Type Locking Connector.

What type of bulb fit this headlight? I need something bright enough for road night riding but I want this one for the price and look.
Alex G on Jun 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It’s an H4 bulb, the output is sufficient, much more output than you’d get from the stock light on something like a 530. If you want a little more output, get a silver star ultra H4. They’re 50 or 55w I believe as opposed to the 30 or 35w that a basic H4 is. I ran an HID bulb in my Polisport headlight.
Does this light have high and low beam?
Sammi G on May 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it has high and low plus a running light
Will I need to purchase a switch to wire this up on a 2017 TTR230?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you will need a switch and a plug. A simple tusk switch will do fine. The plug can be purchased at NAPPA.
Does it work on a 2008 yz450f?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: These headlights aren’t really a plug and play type but more of a “if you have a power and ground” type. I have a 02wr426f that I got this for. The bike has no battery. We pulled power from the stator and are running the headlight off the engine power. If you’re able to do the same then go for it. One thing to note is that if you don’t have a rectifier then you’ll be pulling AC voltage instead of DC. That’s what happened with us when we wired ours in line with other led lights. Headlamp wouldn’t turn on due to DC voltage. We wired it as a separate closed loop circuit apart from the led lights and are running it off engine power
Looking to do a 24 hour race using my 2015 RMZ-250. Will the bike run this headlight with the stock stator? and if not any recommendations on what stator I should use.
Michael N on Jun 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not recommend running this with a stock stator however, we do not carry an aftermarket stator to run this.
Does it have "DOT" stamped on the lens somewhere? I need it for inspection in my state. Tks! Does this come with a standard headlight connector or just wires? I've heard both. Thanks.
David S on May 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This does say DOT on the headlight lens and there are plugs/connectors on the back of the light.
