Doing the job I need it to do!!
Needed a good priced spare tire mount and this one was in the range I was looking for. My buddy has the same mount and hasn't had any issues with it, so I went ahead and made the purchase. Mounted to my RZR quick and easy, was able to do it myself. Holds the spare tire snug and I'm not worried about it falling off.

Built well. Accepts even 32" tires
I've been running this for about 3 months now (4/16 now). Built well and is a bit of a pain to install straight with only one person.

Held up to a friend flopping his turbo 1000 4 seater over backward onto it with only a minimal bend. Still usable after the roll as well.

I own a '15 Fox Edition 2 seater. I had to relocate the rear shock reservoirs a little differently as they are much larger and use standalone clamps to hold themselves to the rear bars. It was very doable, just an additional step over the basic XP1000 install.

Very easy to swing out of the way (or even remove completely) to gain access to the bed or storage boxes.

My only two gripes about this piece is that it rattles something fierce over bumps and it reduces rear view vision through the interior mirror to near-nothing.

Overall I'm happy with it though. Able to keep a spare with me without gaining any additional height or width (for clearance).

I would probably rather have a spare tire holder that bolted the spare on, instead of this method that can be easily swiped. But its what was available and worked with my machine, so I can't complain. Holds great. I think the piece is leaving a gouge in my spare rim, but it doesn't really bother me. Also can be a little difficult to get the spare tire in place, and thread on the holding mechanism by yourself, but it is doable.

    Lost spare tire
Looks great until you are riding and the bolt snaps and you loose your tire off the back and we are not extreme riders. We went back and I guess some one found the tire before we did...if you buy this make sure you strap your tire on also

IF I have 3-4' whips can I swing this open without hitting my whips if I slide it high enough on my frame?
    Trent S on Mar 23, 2017
Will you swing it open, do yo have to hold it? Or will it stay open by itself while you take stuff in and out of the cargo area? Thanks!
    Don H on Jan 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will stay open. When installing you may want to misalign pins on one side ever so slightly. Gets rid of slight rattle noise.
can you see out the back of machine to back up on a 2017 rzr turbo?
    A shopper on Sep 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No you can't. The rack with the tire mounted blocks your view. I purchased a set of Polaris Side Mirrors so I could see to the rear. As a side note, the rear storage area closest to the front will accommodate two Rubbermade 8 gallon packers stacked on top of one another beneath the rack with the tire installed. So if you carry a lot of gear it works out great.
i've heard complaints about it rattling. Can i use bolts vs. pins to eliminate the rattle? These things rattle to death already.
    CHRIS M on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Mine doesn't rattle any, nice and solid. Locate 2 bottom clamps where it pins. Raise 2 top clamps to take out slack, good snug fit. Take your time and get it right. Excellent item.
Will this setup (cab frame extension and spare tire mount) work with the lock and ride?
    A shopper on Aug 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I addded the cab frame extension and it really fits well. You need to take out the lock & ride box and then leave the right rear bolt out forever. By leaving out the that 1 bolt you can easily take the lock & ride in & out. One thing about the spare tire holder on the frame extension. When you tighten up the bar to tighten up the spare tire against the frame extension ... you will tighten it to the point where the tire will leak air by the tire bead ... can't be helped ... so put a piece of wood between the spare tire hub and the frame extender and you can tighten down the spare tire nicley without the frame extender pressing on the tire. This entire set up is the way to go ... the tire is out of the way and doesnt block your vision but still looks cool and is nice & tight. I ended up sticking my license on the spare tire wheel .
Can I fit a Yeti cooler underneath the spare tire with this rack?
    Steve I on Apr 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: That will depend on the size of the Yeti cooler. The Polaris Cooler that links into the floor fits perfect under this, if you want to look up the specs on that to compare with your Yeti.
