  • Holds fork damping rods, cartridges, shock shafts, etc. while servicing. Unique design allows installation of dowels into the top of the vise jaws. The holding tools hang on the dowels instead of dropping on the ground when the vise is opened (very cool!) Made of aluminum.

Must have if you work on your own suspenders.
I didn't buy this tool for several years, under the delusion of saving money. It was always difficult to get things tight onto the cartridge without the right tool. Well, it finally bit me. The cartridge rod backed out, effectively lengthening it. When I pulled the forks apart at the end of the season, the "lengthened" cartridge rod pounded the preload adjuster (fork cap). The preload adjuster is ruined. The new one is $125. So much for saving money. If you service your own forks often, as I do, this tool is worth the asking price.

nice to have
kind of spendy but if you plan on removing the seal head in your shock it is a must have. prevents the shock shaft from getting scared up by the vise. I use it a couple times a year so it is well worth the money.
