Good quality and price

Comments On Apr 04, 2016:I installed this seat cover in an effort to get rid of the purple generation that was popular in the late 90's. It was well made, good grip, was likely perfect size, but I had some wrinkles right where the seat height transition from the angle to flat. I think it was because I was afraid to pull it any tighter. The more I pulled, the more it bent the angled lip and made point to the sky. In hind sight, when I put the lip into the retainer built into the tank, it would have pulled the seat lip down and I would not have had wrinkles. Never the less, it caused no discomfort and I assumed my 18 year old foam was more of the culprit. I did use heat gun on low to soften and stretch, but that did not work. I am not picky about this bike, but if it were one of my higher end bikes, I would have bought an entire seat - that was not an option for this bike. Also, it looked good when I installed it, the wrinkles reappeared when I mounted the seat. TECH NOTE: SEAT COVERS NEED TO BE PULLED TIGHT ALL AROUND FOR A WRINKLE FREE FIT.

Grippy

Comments On Mar 31, 2016:Good grip, seams like a weaker material than some manufacturers.

3rd one was a bust

Comments On Mar 23, 2016:I have installed 3 of these seat covers. 2 on old KDX and one on an 07 KTM. The 2 prior were mediocre value based products that fit with much effort. The 3rd one I received had a higher likelihood of fitting a 1978 pinto rear seat than the KDX part number it had on the blister package. Luckily it was way over sized and I rolled with what I had because we were leaving on an extended trip in 2 days. I installed the seat cover a total of 3 times. 2 from the front as you'd normally do but it always fit VERY poorly. I ended up the 3rd time installing from the rear and cutting in excess of 5" of material off the front once I made it there. Every manufacturer is likely to have a mislabeled product once in a while. I'd recommend opening your item and eye balling the fit before removing your old cover, just in case. I left the one star review after having experience with the product line 3 times and installing another 5-6 similar products from other manufacturers over the last few months.

Excellent quality

Comments On Feb 08, 2016:Finally got one of these! Why did I wait so long. Less fatigue and easier to grip while standing up. Great quality, it is a pretty thick material so watch some install videos and be patient. Mine went on great except, I had the cover on with zero wrinkles until I put the seat on the bike. The tank pushes the seat back slightly which brought out a few small ripples. Lesson learned.

Hard to install

Comments On Jan 06, 2016:I had an upholstery shop do this and it was very wrinkled in the middle. I had them try to reset it. Still had wrinkles. They came out quite a bit after riding it. Now only has one wrinkle in the middle. 04 YZ125

Good grip, difficult install

Comments On Dec 21, 2015:This cover is hard to install without wrinkles, although it is my first install of a seat cover. I like the grip compared to stock. My advice is to wait for a hot day to put on.

Great quality

Comments On Nov 27, 2015:These stick well and don't come off. I wish you could customize them a little more, but for the price, it's a cheap way to get good looking numbers on your bike. I generally further customize my graphics with sticks, rocks, roost, and twigs.
