Great off road pegs, a must have on a klr for anyone who wants to seriously ride off road
Was looking for bigger off road pegs for my klr and I've been happy with other tusk products I've put on it, and the price difference between tusk and other brands made it a no brainier. I've got five hundred off road miles on them now and I love them. However shifting with motocross boots on was a challenge, but after adding a tusk shift lever that problem was solved.

Massive, like standing on the ground, no more slipping off wet footpegs!
So massive, so easy to throw on the bike. Didn't notice the difference at first really but as I stood up, wow it's like standing on the ground! No way your feet are slipping off them either, they are grippy and sharp. Recommended for sure!

Also.super easy to install, took literally 5 minutes and only a pair of long nose pliers to pull the clips off the pins.

Tusk footpegs
Well finished product. Definitely worth the price! Fit,finish and quality of much more expensive pegs. Saw them first on YouTube.

Must have on the KLR
Maybe not the best mod, but it is close. The crappy rubber pegs that come stock on the KLR have to go. Not sure why this bike comes with rubber pegs anyway, but these are a breeze to install and worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. Not sure why other brands are so expensive, but these are great. not sure I would even know what $200 pegs felt like but it can't be much better than the Tusk brand that you can get for 1/3 the price of premium brands.

Excellent upgrade
Did not think that pegs would make that big of a difference but, they do. Cruising around in a sitting position the new pegs are not that noticeable. However, if you stand up at all then there is a major improvement! Definitely not going to slip off these puppy and the larger surface area is more comfortable under foot. Helps with control as well.

Tusk Billet race pegs - great!
Easy to install, great value. They really added a lot of stability when I am standing. I considered a brand that had rubber inserts on top, but the mounting was not as reliable. Glad I got the Tusk model. You can pay a lot more and get less.

Will these fit the FIRST Gen KLR650? Mine is a 2006 and I am wondering about fitment. Thanks.
Douglas K on Sep 12, 2016

are the teeth replaceable?
A shopper on Sep 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the teeth are replaceable.
I have a set of moose aftermarket pegs on my 09 KLR now, but i have to really hug the sides of the bike to keep my boots on them. do these pegs allow a wider (side to side) stance on the KLR?
Patrick K on Mar 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Can't really say for sure if they are wider than your Moose pegs, but I do know they are much better pegs than the factory footpegs. The Tusk were a heck of a good deal for the price. I did put a slightly longer gear shift on that seems to help when putting on upgraded pegs. Possible that could help you if you are having to tuck your boot in too much.
Will gear shift lever need to be replaced to a longer one due to the extra length of foot peg? Thank you
Philip R on Apr 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I really like my new foot pegs, they are much more comfortable. However, even with a longer gearshift lever it is a little more difficult to shift but it is worth the trade off. So yes get the longer shifter too
Do these pegs come with new pins or do I need to reuse the originals?
