Excellent Helmet, No Replacement Plan

Comments On Aug 30, 2015:I had a helmet first low side crash in loose gravel at about 30 mph. The helmet held up great and has been an amazing dualsport helmet. The only negative is that FLY is one of the few manufacturers that don't have some sort of helmet replacement or discount program after a crash. Not a good way to keep brand loyalty. I had planned on getting another FLY helmet but I guess I won't.

Decent

Comments On Apr 04, 2015:It's obviously not a top of the line helmet but for the price it's decently comfortable and not too noisy. I've ridden dual sports for years with an open face helmet and goggles and prefer this helmet as it is quieter and the wind doesn't catch it as much. If you're mainly going to wear goggles, they fit better on a traditional open face helmet but I like this shield for the road. The fit is a little snug but I'm hoping it will break in nicely. I'm glad I got it.

I love my trekker!

Comments On Dec 03, 2014:I bought a trekker last year, and wow! Great quality for the price! Its no 700 dollar helmet, but it is one of the best DS helmets on the market.

Didn't work for me

Comments On Sep 24, 2014:First, the sizing is different from other FLY helmets I've owned. Purchased a small the first time. Couldn't get it on my head. Rocky Mountain ATV exchanged the helmet (hassle free) for a medium. That one I could get on but made my eyes bulge. My idea was to use the helmet has a dirt / trail helmet. The ventilation is not enough in the woods. Will cook your head.

Best Bang For Your Buck

Comments On Jul 10, 2014:This helmet is great, I use it in everything from daily commuting, ADV Riding in Moab, UT, and Single track technical riding. It has done great in all types of conditions. My only gripe is that it is a really loud helmet. Field of vision is great and the fact you can close the visor over goggles is one of my favorite features. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Love these helmets

Comments On Jun 30, 2014:This is my second one (for my daughter). The florescent yellow make you easy to see in the dunes and woods. Face shield soooo much nicer than goggles.
Lost one start because the shell is huge, especially on smaller helmet sizes.

Awesome helmet for the money!

Comments On Apr 26, 2014:I rarely write reviews but thought it was important to point out the sizing issue with this helmet for others. I wear a medium in every bike, motorcycle, and ski helmet I have ever owned as an adult (Bell, HJC, ICON, Arai, Joe Rocket, Scott) but went with a large on this purchase (based on the reviews by others). Anyway, good thing I did because the large fit perfect. I believe if I would have gotten a medium it would have been too small.
As for the helmet, it looks awesome and is very comfortable. I like the ventilation features and the ability to wear goggles with it. Also, it has ample room around the ears so you could wear headphones/earplugs comfortably. It is a little on the bulky side so it does grab the wind but I'm wearing this on my dual sport so I'm not going too fast on the highway.

Price is good...

Comments On Apr 18, 2014:But I'm returning the helmet. My measurement says I am small for a size LG, but it is very tight on my face. If your head is wedge shaped this helmet is for you.
Also the finish is poor. There are runs in the paint.
The shell is huge--mellon on you shoulders huge.
