The MICHELIN Commander II creates a new standard with regard to durability, yet without making any compromises in terms of wet weather grip, maneuverability or stability. This performance balance provides yet another eloquent illustration of Michelin's research and development philosophy: no performance gain to be achieved on one front to the detriment of another.
  • Rubber compounds provide remarkable wet grip, without compromising durability.
  • Adt (Amplified Density Technology) provides a highly dense more rigid tire casing which helps deliver excellent feedback and handling in all conditions.
  • The square bead-wire package improves casing rigidity, handling and ease of installation.
  • Silica Rain Technology (SRT) which integrates silica into the compound of the tire tread, while the MICHELIN Commander II's tread pattern has been designed to prevent all forms of uneven wear.
  • The exclusive architecture of the MICHELIN Commander II brings both maneuverability and stability. The tire's more rigid, high-density carcass improves maneuverability, while the aramid fiber crown ply of the rear tire enhances resistance and lightness for impeccable stability, even at high speeds.
  • The numerous longitudinal grooves of the tire's tread pattern optimize water dispersal for outstanding wet weather grip.

Commander II, Rear tire

Comments On May 18, 2015:This tire provided excellent handeling and milage. I put 16,800 miles on this tire. Could get more except I have a long trip planned and wanted new rubber for it.

Totally bad ass

Comments On May 18, 2015:I just purchased a front and rear tire. I put them thru the gammit today. In the span of 10 hrs I encountered 85 deg sun, torential downpour, new and old asphalt, concrete nice long straight aways and some really awesome twisties. These tires performed flawlessly. Excellent adhesion in all conditions. I felt very confident after just a few minutes. I highly reccomend these tires.

What Bike are you riding?

Comments On Apr 18, 2015:People write reviews good or bad about this tire. But fail to say what bike its installed on. Review is pretty useless unless you say what bike its on and tire size for future buyers. The 200 series works great on my Harley.

Scary

Comments On Nov 01, 2014:I bought this tire for the mileage. Well i did get a few more miles out of it ( maybe 2000 miles). The problem I have had was there was very little dry traction, and as far as driving in the rain there was none at all. I have never had a tire break loose on me so much. I have over 125,000 miles on this bike and will not put another one of these on this or any other bike I own.

Michelin Commander II delivers...

Comments On May 30, 2014:I decided to try the Michelin Commander II on my 08 FLHX Street Glide and it paid off...I currently have 20,000 miles on the rear tire and just ordered another one because I don't take chances with the wear on my tires...I was told I would sacrifice to get the mileage in the ride or in traction...I did not find this to be the case...performance and tracking were excellent and in the rain it performed equally as well as any Dunlop tire I have ever ridden on in all my 45+ years of riding. I would recommend this tire to any one who wants long range expectations without sacrificing ride or traction and tracking as well as bad weather performance.

Heard good things

Comments On Mar 10, 2014:I purchased this tire due to the reviews i read. The shipping time was outstanding (3 days). The tire was easily installed and balanced. Although i have only put 120 miles on them, most of it was cornering. I was very confident in the turns. We will have to see how they do with more miles on them.
