    Good light weight option

Comments On Jan 15, 2016:Using this for about 4 months now and it has held up well. Lightweight and quiet, wraps nicely around the bottom of the water pump.
The only minor complaint I have is that the oil drain plug isn't totally aligned. You might want to open it up a little bit or just remove the skid plate for oil changes.

    Does it's job well.

Comments On Nov 26, 2015:Fit great. Simple installation, much easier than previous aluminium skid plate. Carbon Fiber slides over rocks and logs rather than grind into them like aluminium. Will take abuse but won't last forever. Quieter than aluminium hands down.

    crappy protection

Comments On Jul 19, 2015:This item looks good and bolts on with ease but has 0 durability. Paid alot and cased on 1 double and completely ripped out all mounting screws on impact. It did save my case but I would hope more than once. Go aluminum.

    dissatisfied

Comments On Apr 01, 2015:Okay so I've had this brand skid plates on every bike I have owned since 2003 never had a problem with them ever, they bolt right on and fit great (only reason it got 3 stars) I'd love to give it a 2 star. It took me 2.5 hours to get it on, the over all shape of the skid plate is awesome, past that I'm pissed. The mounts DO NOT line up, in the front I had to bend twist and pound on in a vice to make work because it was so far off (I build tube chassis cars from the ground up). Where the mount should go it does not fit because of clearance on the case. Then the rear mounts, the holes were off of where the skid plate contour perfectly fit to the point I wanted to hone them out with a drill. I know these can take a beating and they are very light! They need to fire the new guy who designed the mounts.

    Good protection

Comments On Mar 31, 2015:This is a good skid plate. It has good protection and is blends right in. I didn't want something to look like a big plate that everyone can notice. I also wanted something that had a little more protection than just the bottom. It fit well and looks good. It has performed really good so far.

    quiet and durable

Comments On Apr 21, 2014:I have had this skid plate on my 2009 KTM since the bike was new. It had been to Moab on 12 trips, total riding days at Moab is about 48. Moab is hard on bikes and bike frames--lots of rocks and ledges. This skid plate has also gone around Five Miles of hell 4 time in that period. It has also done about 6,000 miles of Idaho mountain single track. The skid plate is still on the bike and looking pretty beat up and weak, but still there and still getting the job done. The best thing I like is the carbon seems to absorb the sound and the bike is quieter and sounds smoother with it on. If the skid plate ever breaks or falls off, I will definitely get another just like this one.
