Great tire overall with wear and grip, but not good in slippery Mud.
Great tire for off-road enduro. East coast area nationals. Very good in the dry to moist sections, however in mud or slippery sections the front end will wash out suddenly on you.

Wears like iron
I ran this tie all over southern and northern CA for a year with solid wear life. I ride every weekend so that's saying something. It wears like iron and has excellent hookup. Would buy again no doubt. Super tough sidewall... Great for tubliss

Good for rocks
Good strong sidewalls great for rocky stuff. Not so good in loose or wet dirt. Long life and decent performance tire.

Tires feel great, wish they lasted a bit longer
The tires give a good feeling of traction/stability. They look really cool too. I just wish they lasted a bit longer.

Awesome Tire
I am an ametuer racer that rides in all types of races from hare scrambles to some motocross, and this is the only rear tire I use. I decided to try this rear tire out after reading many good reviews of the tread life and grip. I have to say this tire will last pretty long and definitely provides great traction in all terrains. I have used this from Southwick sands to Unadilla GNCC hard pack woods, and this tire performed great. They are pricey at over $90, but I have a knobby knife and go through 2 rears a year. Would definitely recommend to try if your looking for a good rear tire.

Not worth the risk
I rode a friends bike with this tire and loved it. So I bought one and the tire I got was 3/32nds shorter his had 100 miles on it and mine had the nubs on it. We measured it with a tread wear gauge. It handles like a wore out tire. Called rocky Mt and since I’ve used it I can’t return it.

Response from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC
With tires a lot of the times where, which mold was used and what factory it was made at can make the difference. Unfortunately no tires are the same size exact and if they are that's rare.

Is there a yellow maxxis logo on both sides of the tire?
Dario V on Oct 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I believe so. Unless the product has received a update. It doesn’t stay bright yellow for long.
Are these tires directional? I notice a small circle with an arrow on the side.
A shopper on Jan 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have run them both directions without a noticing a difference in performance. But when new I install them according to the directional arrow. I reverse them later on to get more life out of the tire.
