This is my favorite tire period

Comments On Mar 05, 2015:This tire does not last on hard packed, but the traction you get with this tire is impressive. I have to try very hard to break the back wheel at my endurocross track on dry, slick, and fair days. This tire will really shine on a day where the track was rained on the night before. It really likes the tacky damp clay and sand mix. I recommend for races like Snowshoe, Steele Creek, Big Buck (if it is not dusty and dry), or the Florida GNCC.

Great tire

Comments On Dec 07, 2014:I race hare scrambles in a variety of desert terrain. I really liked this tire in sand and soft soil. It hooks up very well. It also worked well in harder terrain but it will chunk off some of the rear knobs. I liked it better than the Bridgestone 404 and 403. I liked this tire better than the Dunlop 51F in front. I ran it with STI heavy duty tubes at 12psi front and rear. I felt it was the best tires I have raced with thus far. Will buy again.

Why not?

Comments On Oct 20, 2014:I have gotten a lot of use out of these tires and they are holding up well. The rear tires lugs have not started to rip like others I have with the same time on them. Its a great performing tire that last.

Front Tire is Garbage

Comments On Apr 25, 2014:I m not sure if I just had a bad front tire or bad luck but I have never gotten so many flats on regular trails from something poking through the tread pattern and putting a hole in my tube. The traction was great but after $60+ in tubes and all of the stress of just being pissed about having another flat in the middle of another ride and one after another I will never purchase another maxxis front tire ever. But on the other hand I would give the maxxis si rear a 5 star rating hooks up everywhere in everything especially mud and has a long lasting life. Great for Northeast riding where there is a variety of terrains.
