So I'm a Bridgestone sport tire lover. They make sense to me. They complete me. But with my 2014 Triumph Speed Triple I wasn't getting the mileage I've come to expect from them (with my other bikes) so I bit the bullet and branched out. Gotta be honest with you, I was a little bit nervous to try a sport tour tire because I figured there would be a trade off that would be super noticeable. I will buy these tires again when they wear out because they really are awesome! Control, wearability, it's all there! Would I take them to the track? No. But for sport street riding they are more than capable to get the job done. Love 'em.

    Best tire on the market
This is my second PR4. I get about 8K miles out of them; excellent grip, wet or dry. Love em.

Great for sport oriented Sport Touring.
Second set for me. Great tread life, reaction in rain, and can ride 'em to the edges on my Ducati.

    The best touring tire
I have had three sets of these now with the average tread life being around 10,000 miles. Great handling and grip make this tire stand out when it comes to touring and performance.

Put a 1000 miles on the tire this weekend, it appears to have good tread wear, and certainly handles well.

    Great tire
After riding around on this tire for about 400 miles and so far they are great, I haven't had any issues with it slipping or skipping. The profile seems neutral and it dips into corners very smoothly and is easily predictable. Haven't had a chance to test them in wet weather so I can't say much about that. Over all for my kind of riding (Twisties and commuting) it does everything that I need from a tire.

By far this the best tire I have ever used on my FJR 2008. Have used the Pilot Road and the P2. Handling and tire wear is the best I have ever experienced!

My Second Set - There will be a third set
This is the second set of Michelin Pilot Road 4 tires that I have purchased from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for my BMW R1200RT. I decided to put a fresh set on before departing on a trip to Alaska.

I ride a Buell Ulysses and I'm happy with the tire so far. I've only put about 200 miles on it. Haven't had a chance yet to really push the tire to see how it handles. I hope the claims of longer lasting tire life is true, that's why I bought this tire instead of the Pilot Power 2.

Long break-in hopefully means long life!
Finally have properly broken in after about 150-200 miles on them. They were more slippery than most tires in the first initial 50 miles. I am hoping that this means they will last much longer, as advertised. Grip is now great and i am confident in leaning over on them. Testing them on wet roads today, but am guessing they will be great! I typically ride on mountainous rough roads with a mix of concrete and asphalt surfaces, with lots of potholes and irregularities. 400 miles in, they show no signs of major wear. I would recommend these tires so far! 5 stars across the board so far...

difference between pilot road 4 and pilot road 4 GT?

Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT Radial Rear Motorcycle Tire
Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT Radial Rear Motorcycle Tire
BEST ANSWER: The difference is the load rating, we run the GTs on our FJR1300s because we run them loaded quite a bit. My wife did run the PR4 on her '13 and didn't have a problem, but we've since decided the heavier sidewalls is a good deal for us. Our primary reasons for running PR4/PR4GTs is tire longevity (we get 10 to 13k per set), and WET surface traction because we live on Oregon's South Coast. Great tires!
