The Klim Dakar Jacket is a piece of gear designed to handle extreme heat and abuse, built with enough durability to carry the name of the world’s toughest motorcycle race.

The Dakar’s main feature is the super-tough 420D Cordura® fabric in the main body with high-abrasion areas getting reinforced with 840D Cordura®. Torso venting on the Dakar is handled by multiple vents, but if you need extra cooling both sleeves are zippered for full removal if you want to wear the jacket more like a vest.

Accordion stretch panels on the shoulders and elbows lead down to an adjustable cuff closure, and inside you get a mesh polyester lining to help airflow and manage sweat while a water resistant treatment keeps excess water from seeping in.

The Dakar comes in an American cut with more interior room than you would normally find, leaving plenty of space for a padded compression suit, armored jacket, or D3O™ armor inserts in the back and elbows (sold separately). Top it off with fit adjustment, storage, and massive durability, and the Dakar Jacket is a great entry level into Klim’s well known lineup of adventure and dual-sport gear.
