    Details

The Thor Impact Rig SE Protector is slim, it’s full coverage, and it’s highly breathable protection for your entire torso. A near perfect match for lovers of all things enduro and dual sport. At the Impact’s core is a long sleeved micro mesh base that flows a ton of ventilation and serves as the anchor point for the layout of bio-foam backed protective plates. This padding also ventilates well, so even with the large scheme of protective panels, air still flows underneath each plate to keep you cool when you’re picking apart slow, technical trails. Thor has laid out these panels all over, from the molded forearm protectors to the adjustable kidney belt and removable, articulated spine protector. And in-between each of those impact absorbing panels are adjustable sizing straps, so every plate sits exactly where you want it when you come face to face with a rock, log, or your own bike.

    Actually fit thanks to adjustabilty

Comments On Dec 14, 2015:I have tried several other comparable products, mostly from other sites. I am large (6'3" and 290 lbs with wide shoulders). Other brands have fit, however, most of them did not have enough adjustment locations to slightly move the armor over my joints, like shoulder and elbow. This one has straps on front and back of each shoulder which allowed me to slide the shoulder armor directly over my shoulder joint and keep it there.
Elbow and forearm have similar straps and the armor hits the right spots. Seems robustly made, but I have not been on the road with it or gone down. Yet.
First piece where I feel it will actually protect me when I fall.
PS I had basically given up wanting to pay $150 for armor that did not cover the right spots. My brother has this armor and he said it fit him and worked in a few falls in the sand hills at high speed. He is a good 4 inches taller than me to boot.

    Don't ride without it

Comments On Nov 17, 2015:To give some info about myself: 23 yr old male 180 lbs. 6'4:
I ordered the L/XL and it fits perfect. I have noticed that if you strap on the kidney belt too tight, the zippers in the back want to come undone. I did notice it getting a little warm, and it was a nice, cool, 60 degree day, but I also had 3 layers on. I've laid my bike down 5 or 6 times with this on and haven't felt a thing. It's a huge lifesaver and I wouldn't ride without it on. It is bulkier than a standard roost protector, but offers superior protection in my opinion. I wanted the extra protection because I'm a new rider and understood that I would be most likely falling over quite a bit. I'd rate this as a must have, along with a helmet, gloves, and riding boots.

    Quality upper body protection

Comments On Aug 27, 2015:My first one lasted for at least 4 years and took some serious abuse. Comfortable, very breathable, and light weight. The spine protector breaths very well when wearing a backpack. It is nice to have all your upper pads together in one place so you are not looking for that always missing elbow pad. The most key feature of this jersey is the solid chest plate. A solid chest plate offers much more impact protection than one that zips up the middle. Would like to see kidney pads built into the waist belt though. However this jersey is tough and gets the job done for years of good use. 5 foot 9 160lbs sm/med is the size.

    Don't even notice it on

Comments On Jul 18, 2015:Good protection and during my first 4 hr ride wearing it forgot that it was on. Breathability is good and as long as you do a good test fit to adjust how you want it to wear the comfort during a ride it good.
    I'm 6'1' and 190# and I bought the large.

    Not my favorite

Comments On Mar 19, 2015:Comes in handy on cooler days. but I cut the ends of the sleeves off as they are tight around the wrist. Im 6'2 250 also. You will need to superglue the zippers on the kidney belt/back protector to keep them from coming loose, too bulky for hot days.

    body Armour

Comments On Aug 23, 2014:It will protect you that's for sure. Love how it's a full upper body suit. The seem is on the outside so that looks a little goofy but it's meant to be under the jersey anyways. I'm 5'5 135 pounds and the small/medium fits decently, shoulders are still a little too big though.

    Excellent product

Comments On Mar 24, 2014:This product is great. It is breathable and really comfortable. However the Kidney belt does tend to unzip a little bit. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for great and comfortable protection.
