Wouldn't ride without it
Going on my 3rd year with the Rekluse 3.0 clutch. Took about 3 rides to get used to how it works and ever since it has been absolutely great. IMHO it reduces rider effort on technical trails by about 50%. Rode 5 miles of hell last spring and it felt like a whole lot easier trail just because of the Rekluse. I've had zero issues with reliability. I wouldn't have a bike without one.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!
After riding my buddies 6 day KTM with a recent Rekluse install i said OK. I was a bit shell shocked to fork over the cash for this clutch and rear brake. (buy both!) I have ten rides on my bike since install and have ridden like never before. Hill climbing, no problem. Shifts, no problem. Never dies on a hill climb, never hits neutral on down shifts. Its awesome and I LOVE IT!!!

Every Generation Gets Better!
My latest purchase of the 3.0 is the 4th one I have had and it is the best yet. My experience started with the ball bearing style in a KTM 200, then the EXP in a 350, then the 2.0 in a 300, and now this one in a new 300. Installation is straight forward and the instructions are well detailed. My only word of caution, don't buy one unless you want to be hooked. Rekluse for life ;)

Works incredibly well
I've had two other brands of auto-clutches and had issues with both. The Rekluse is awesome. Simple to install, easy to initially set up and works flawlessly. I put one in, adjusted it once, rode for an hour locally and then thrashed it in Baja for a week without issue. Engagement has not moved one bit. Highly recommended. Also, I don't like to run one in my race bike and therefore don't - concerned clutch control. I think it would be completely fine to do so without having to buy the top end unit (which is too pricey in my estimation).

seriously the best modification I have put on my bike
I have modified my bike with plenty of aftermarket parts. If you ride trails, especially technical trails, this is the mod for you. Makes it so you never stall, and almost never drop the bike. Rocks, logs, crazy hills, this clutch will make your life way easier. Its almost like cheating while riding technical terrain. Super easy to install.

For an old timer trying to stay in the saddle this product did the trick for me. Since install have not stalled the bike on the trail nor fallen over when the back wheel locked up. Crank up the idle some. Difficult to lug the motor with this product must keep the motor reved up a bit. Bike will start in gear, give it some gas, and off ya go. Drawbacks: no help with engine braking downhill nor can the bike be held on a hill in gear. Also, remember to downshift on an uphill or you will burn it up ;-) Install was a cinch Rekluse install video A+ !

buy one.
this was the best investment I've bought for my bike. theres nothing worse than stalling your bike on a hot summer day and your bike won't start. this solves that by virtually never stalling out. less shifting though the trails and zero clutch work. love it.

Might be a dumb question. But do I need any other parts? My clutch is worn out. So I just want to make sure this is all I need for replacement.
Thanks!
A shopper on Sep 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The relkluse will take the place of 2 friction plates. But if your clutch is worn out. I would definitely replace the remaining friction and drive plates with new at this time.
My clutch isworn out. If I buy this clutch do I need any other parts? Or will this replace worn components?
duane d on Sep 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You will need to replace all of the worn out parts also
on the 3.0 exp the 399$ does it come with clutch cover or does my stock one will work with the kit?
A shopper on Feb 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The stock cover fit perfect on my 2012 kxf450. It does not come with a cover. This may have been the best money I have ever spent. Riding technical tight woods it works awesome and keeps it from stalling. You can also ride up a gear which tones the power down a bit as the newer model fuel injected 450s have plenty. Easy install with a couple quick adjustments and good to go. Ilmracing416
I have a 2007 crf250r and was wondering what the difference between the 400 and 900 dollar systems are? Can I still preload the clutch to hop logs etc? I really just want something a little smoother for the woods and tough trails.
Adam N on Jan 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The $900.00 clutch comes with all the hardware to retain all of the steel drive plates & fiber plates that are in an OEM clutch. This means in a nut shell that the clutch will retain it's "frictional surface area". The $400.00 clutch comes with an EXP ring and some springs. To install this system and get a proper dimensional stack up using the OEM center hub & basket you'll need to remove a couple steel plates & fiber plates. This gives you an auto clutch with the sacrifice of clutch "frictional surface area". If you are a heavier rider you'll need to run the EXP ring tuning spring that produce a quicker engagement. Clutch life is also reduced drastically with the basic $400.00 kit. If it were my money & I was on a budget I would go with the slightly more expensive Z-Start pro clutch. If they have that clutch for your bike it also retains a "full clutch pack" like the $900.00 clutch. You'll just lose the stock clutch lever feel with the Z-Start Pro.
Will this work with a magura hydraulic clutch conversion on a 2015 WR450f?
Michael K on Dec 2, 2016
Rekluse EXP 3.0 Clutch
Rekluse EXP 3.0 Clutch
Magura Hydraulic Clutch
Magura Hydraulic Clutch
BEST ANSWER: Michael - the EXP clutch replaces a portion of the fibers and steel plates that ride in between your basket and hub. The cable actuated models have a pressure plate adjuster built into the new part that comes from rekluse that lets you set the baseline throwout that lets the bike idle yet prevents the clutch from slipping once it engages. Rekluse calls this the "Installed Gap" setting and its what makes the whole deal work.

So yes it should work with your magura because the rekluse adjustment on the yamaha its all part of the pressure plate vs KTM and Husky where the adjustment is part of the hydraulic clutch system.

I really recommend you call ReKluse directly for any questions - their support line is awesome. Reach them at two zero eight four two six zero six five nine. Their install videos and instructions are good and fairly easy to follow. I did it correctly my first try and can install one in a bike in about 40 min now having done several.

In my experience and that of others I know after you have the Rekluse you probably won't care about the hydraulic conversion because you'll let the Rekluse do most of the work for you. I'm a believer. I run them in all my bikes now off road and moto. They can save an expert from the consequences of a mistake and make amatuer riders look like pros on gnarly terrain. Once its in its idiot proof. I wish I'd thought of it. If you got the Magura to make you're clutch pull lighter (I Think yamaha's pull easy stock!) You will notice its a harder pull with the rekluse installed maybe 10-20%. I doubt you'll care though because you won't be modulating the clutch any where near as much yourself -if you're an experienced rider it takes some time to break yourself from the habits and to let the Rekluse do all the work. And it always works.
I guess you can tell I'm a satisfied customer.

Cheers - Jake
Can I use this clutch without the adjustable slave cylinder? My bike is 2009 KTM 250XC
Evan S on Sep 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If your bike has the Ktm hydrolic clutch, you will need the adjustable slave cylinder to adjust the clutch play to the rekluse specs
For Honda is it the same exp clutch on the cr250 and for the crf450 or dose it have different weighs?
Clint C on Mar 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would suggest you call Rekluse directly. They are extremely helpful. Mines in a KTM, so don't know specs for Honda
does this come with the adjustable slave cover ? for a ktm 150xc
Charmagne G on Feb 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it comes with an adjustable slave cylinder. Which it has to have to work properly with a hydraulic clutch. That is why your exp 3.0 is $100 more than a non hydraulic clutch model.
What is the advantage of the Rekluse Z start kit, or the Core EXP 3.0 over just the EXP 3.0? I know it has less parts and contains no extra friction plates. Why would I spend $200-$300 more for that? As far as performance, what do those offer that the EXP 3.0 does not?
A shopper on Nov 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Z-Start Pro is the original version of the Rekluse auto clutch system. It uses a lot of specialty Rekluse parts whereas the other two use a lot of OEM or OEM style parts. The difference between the Core EXP 3.0 and the EXP 3.0 is the amount of pieces included in the kit. The Core EXP 3.0 comes with a new clutch hub, basket, and clutch cover that provide a lot better cooling than the OEM set up. Other than that, they both do the same thing.
