With all of the innovations Rekluse has brought to clutches, it can be hard to choose which of their products will work for you. But Rekluse has made it much easier with their RadiusX Clutch because it combines their EXP disk that provides an automatic clutch, and their TorqDrive technology that deliver the best throttle response and power to the wheels as possible.

Every part of this functionality will fit into the same space as your OEM clutch assembly, but it will deliver the advantages of both an automatic clutch and a premium manual clutch. It’s one of Rekluse’s more affordable clutch options and that includes the increased performance of the TorqDrive friction and drive discs, and the shims that prevent your plates from notching into your basket’s fingers.

With all of this combined into a mid-range price point, the RadiusX is ideal for track and trail riders that want consistent performance, the ease of an auto clutch, the impressive torque transfer of a Rekluse TorqDrive clutch, and a distinct advantage over the competition.

  • No modifications needed to any stock components as Rekluse designs the RadiusX to interface perfectly with stock parts inside of the OEM footprint.
  • Made 100% in the USA: Rekluse supports the sport by designing, manufacturing, and shipping everything under the Rekluse name from their headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
  • One of the most affordable auto-clutch options currently available from Rekluse.
  • Packed with Rekluse tech like their Exp auto-clutch plate, TorqDrive® plate stack, springs/or the Rekluse pressure plate for DDS equipped bikes, and adjustable slave cylinder for bikes with hydraulic clutches.

Amazing product
I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Still able to feather the clutch when you need to get the revs up.
No stalling, faster laps, less fatigue.

New version but is it better - 2017 YZ250F
I ran the previous $400 version in my YZ450 woods bike for 4 years and 120 plus hours. It was pretty hard on clutch discs but the unit never failed. I got a 2017 YZ250F for my new woods weapon and got this new $600 version. Same general design but now includes thin clutch plates, fiber and metal, which allow you to keep a high number of plates. The old one you removed some plates and lost friction surface area. For my bike the kit includes two fiber clutch cover gasket/spacers which move the clutch cover out 1/4 inch to make room for the entire package. Didn't like that as the clutch cover is almost touching the brake pedal. Hows it work? Excellent. I have noticed less oil contamination and no loss of performance. Less engine heat when beating on it in rocky uphills in Colorado. The only long term question will how will these new thinner plates last. You have to buy them from Recluse and not cheap. You could run the factory plates but just have less of them.

Rekluse Radius X
If the purpose of a modification to any bike is to go faster, easier, this is by far the best mod money can buy. the kit that uses your stock basket works great and saves money.

Relukse clutch
I purchased a rekluse for my 2017 KTM 500EXC, easy install, you have some machanical back ground, whitch most dirt bikers have. The rekluse works great, it’s almost like cheating.

A+
It really is like cheating. Or more like saving your energy for having fun. I’m running it on a cable clutch bike and the clutch pull is heavier but for how infrequently I use it there’s no issues with fatigue.
It’s a noisy thing though. Makes a racket.
If I have any complaint at all about it, it’s the noise. It’s loud enough it distracts me when reviewing GoPro footage.
Ymmv
Four stars for value and durability only because it’s got 30 hours on it. Hard to say for sure on durability and durability with define the value.

Best deal rekluse package
I have used Rekluse clutches since the exp 2.0 then the 3.0 which was much better and now the new Radius X I can tell will be so much better. I will know after this next year for sure, because it will be used with my Timbersled snow bike kit. I love their clutches, makes riding so much more enjoyable like electric start. Easy install, and glad to have all new clutch friction disc and drive disc in this kit.

Best Auto Clutch by Rekluse for the Money
This auto clutch is amazing. I have had the exp 3.0 on other bikes and put this one on my 2017 300 xcw. It has a smoother delivery and better throttle response.

I have a 1992 KX 250 two-stroke can you buy a rekluse clutch for this model and year of dirt bike?
Brian R on Mar 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, where we do not carry this item for that machine we are unable to special order this. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Does this clutch kit make the lever pull stiffer?
AARON C on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: yes. The clutch pull is noticeably stiffer, and there is zero lever play. You will probably not like the clutch lever feel. I don't! Additionally, you can't pop start the bike in gear; the engine just freewheels. If engine speed drops to idle level, for example when down downhill at slower speeds, the clutch will disengage and the bike will freewheel. Blipping the throttle will reengage the clutch. Even with these drawbacks, i really like the clutch on my YZ450. much easier to ride in technical sections, and it's almost staff proof.
If my clutch basket has grooves, will the sleeves fix it? Or do I need to buy the basket too? Trying to decide if I should get the core manual or spend a little more and get this (if it'll take care of my basket issue).
Ryan C on Nov 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If basket is grooved do not install the sleeves into it. The torque from the clutch can break the sleeves, then you will have big problems inside your engine! Best bet is to replace your basket with an OEM one or but the billet one from Rekluse before you install the Radius X. I love mine, broke it in per the manual and went straight to Colorado for a 3 day ride. Zero issues! Never stalled or slipped once.
Tried putting it on my 18 crf 450 r ,took out the jet spring like recluse says and tighten up the clutch cable and now it won't move . Before I left it in and would just slip taking off. Changed the springs to blue on one side then back to gold. I can't get free play gain at all and its a brand new bike. frustrated. Adjusted cable every which way! Any ideas?
Scott L on Aug 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Both judder springs need to come out. There’s a flat one and one thats curved.

I had a problem with my bike(17 CRF450R) not getting free gain. Same symptoms as you. I noticed the throw out washer that sits on the throw out rod was not sitting flush. Pulled it out and the rod was sitting like the clutch was slightly pulled. I loosened everything, clutch adjustment at mid cable and at the lever. Put everything back together, set adjustment and got free gain. But I think I started to burn up the Rekluse clutches as a result. I hope the above helps.
How long do these auto clutch’s last on a 450 motocross bike?
Al R on Jul 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Before I purchased mine, I personally called rekluse and they said that at the minimum it will last as long as OEM. Most likely depending on how you use it, it will last longer as long as you keep it tuned right.
Do you have the Rekluse available for the 2018 Beta 300RR yet?
Brian H on Jan 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, this will not fit your machine. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
Available for 17 exc 500???
reid m on May 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The '17 has a different clutch assy. than the '16. For your machine you will need part #RMS-6313080, which we will be available for purchase shortly.
