Good OEM alternative

Comments On Apr 14, 2016:I bought an entire clutch setup from Tusk for a bike I rebuilt to flip. Cable/clutch discs/springs/lever-everything. Installed easy and was simple to adjust. I didn't have the bike long enough to quote the wear but if felt great when I sold it.

Maybe I got a defective one?

Comments On Mar 27, 2016:Had to do a full rebuild so figured I'd throw a new clutch in too, almost 70 hours on it so it was probably time. I have 8 hours on this clutch and it's spanked. Had to push then get towed the last 5 miles out of the woods. Hopefully RM will help me out when I give them a call tomorrow
**Disclaimer** I gave 3 stars because the last 70 hours on my bike were with a Tusk clutch and had no issues. Maybe this was just a defective one

They should call this the white knuckle clutch kit

Comments On Mar 11, 2016:My bike grabs so hard my knuckles turned white. I wheelied so long and hard that I almost passed out. I may have snapped my sprocket and twisted my frame with all that power. It just grabs so hard.

Ok clutch

Comments On Feb 29, 2016:I tried this one because of the price. It held up ok but did not last as long as others. For the trail rider/weekend warrior this clutch would be a good choice. For the competitive rider there are better choices.

Tusk = Old Reliable

Comments On Feb 04, 2016:Never go wrong with a tusk clutch. Low cost and good reliability. Springs are really tight - better have strong clutch fingers.

Clutch Would Drag and Fit Loosely in Basket

Comments On Jan 11, 2016:Clutch was dragging so bad that it would not start in gear. No problems with slipping or a hard clutch lever. Also the plates fit loosely in the clutch basket and I think it notched my basket quicker than normal. I ended up buying the stock KTM clutch and the problems went away. The Tusk clutch is completely different than the KTM one. It has dimple plates and a large clutch fiber surface. I think this is why the clutch would drag. I have used Tusk brand clutches before with out any problems on Kawasaki's but no such luck with KTM.
