Grab Hot Cam’s Stage 1 Exhaust Camshaft when you want big mid-range gains in your UTV, ATV, or motorcycle.

At Hot Cam’s they want you to get the most from your machine. That’s why they design their Stage 1 Cam as a drop-in way to get the most mid-range without sacrificing your power band or swapping out valve train components. With stage 1 you’ll get more peak torque, better part-throttle torque, and better low rpm throttle response. Add in the adjustable cam timing sprockets, and you can alter your power band to suit your preferences. Hot Cams tops off their Stage 1 cam with an auto decompressor and the ability to run the cam with your stock valve springs. It all comes together for a quick and easy performance boost you’ll get sorted in an afternoon.

    Specs:
  • Aftermarket performance exhaust cam for your motorcycle, UTV, or ATV
  • Uses stock valve springs
  • Increases low and mid-range torque and response
  • CNC machined for an exact fit and lobe profile
  • Created from 8620 billet, case-hardened steel
  • Engineered utilizing state-of-the-art valve train software
  • Does not sacrifice top end power
  • Intake and Exhaust cams sold separately
  • Pair with the Stage 1 Intake Cam for best performance
  • May include auto decompressor when applicable

Bottom End For Days!
Put these in my 2014 YZ250F and they made a huge improvement down low. Gave me enough bottom to drop one tooth on my rear sprocket.

Good way to make your stock head come apart
Installed hot cams stage one on bike. Ran good during break in after adjusting fuel with the programmer. Ran solid for about 6 hours then..... Dropped a valve and I get to put a whole new top end in my bike. Would highly suggest going with GYTR cams for Yamaha machines.

Money well spent
Easy to install and for my bike the auto demcrompession mechanism was already installed. Great power increase especially in low to mid rpm. This installed with Hot Cams stage 1 intake camshaft really woke my scooter up.

Do I need new valve springs with stage 1 cams?
A shopper on Mar 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No I used my stock springs and it worked very very well. If you do decide to change the springs Rocky Mountain has a very nice valve spring compressor from tusk and it great price for the tool
What all other parts would I need when changing both cams?
Dan J on Feb 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: New valve cover gasket of course.
Other than that, maybe shims to adjust clearance
I also used assembly lube.

Installed on a 2001 yz426f
Best investment so far. Makes this bike soooo easy to kickstart now.
