    Fit and finish is perfect

Comments On Oct 23, 2015:As usual with all things Acerbis the fit and finish of this tank is perfect. One thing I did was measure the amount of fuel it will actually hold. With the fuel injected bikes you have a fuel pump taking up space so it will NOT actually hold the advertised 2.7 gal. Mine took 2.43 to fill to the bottom of the neck. But even still the tank is great

    Not what I expected

Comments On Aug 17, 2015:The tank and gas cap are all that is included in the box. There is no mounting hardware, petcock, or fuel line. I didn't order these things seperately. The gas caps on KTM's are pretty nice and this tank does not accomodate those. Acerbis has their own old fashioned screw on cap that you would have to use. These details should be included in the item description so you know what you're getting. RM rep was helpful in the return, as usual.

    Goes farther

Comments On Aug 19, 2015:I am pleased with the fittment of the tank as it fits the bike without any hassles and how it really isnt in the way while riding as well. Of course the extra fuel must go somewhere and i should have expected this but the tank rides considerably lower than stock so that you HAVE TO remove the tank to re-jet the carb or to change out a fouled plug and that is a major hassle compared to stock. Sinse i bought the natural colored one,I REALLY like being able to just look at the bike to see my fuel level tho !!!

    Great buy, happy with it.

Comments On Aug 07, 2015:I would have preferred the black, but the transparent is much better for monitoring the fuel level. Although, it is a little yellowish. Upside, you can take long rides without worry. The fit was not bad, I do have to tweak the rad shrouds just a touch, to bolt up. I just start all fasteners first, then snug down. sturdy tank, but the only real complaint is, the disk cover that goes on the dry break cap just sits there, it doesn't secure. The only thing that holds it on is the vent tube. So, if things get rough and you knock the tube off, the cover goes with it. Mine is out in the desert somewhere. Acerbis said, as of my phone call, you have to buy a complete new fuel cap to get that part. But, they do sell a regular cap as a replacement, no quick fill, it's larger than a stock fuel cap, so make sure you order the right one.

Terrible fit and minimal capacity gains

Comments On Jul 04, 2015:This tank seems to be made pretty well. However the fit is terrible. If you have devol radiator guards, do NOT buy this tank. I've had to butcher mine with a grinder and the tank still rubs.
Because of the stupid design with the petcock uphill from almost a quarter of the tank, the real capacity is about 2.5 gallons. Not even close to 3.2!!

Comments On Jun 25, 2015:After my second tank (first one they shipped the wrong year tank '12) I installed the fuel pump, made sure the gaskets were in place and bolted it up, noticed it didn't look like it had a good seal. Put gas in it and leaked like crazy, took it off, double checked my work and still same thing. After looking at it closely the plastic between the fuel pump bolts is warped. Sending it back and hopefully will get it right the 3rd time. FYI I didn't order from RM ATV/MC I used my local dealer since the tank was thrown in on the bike purchase.
