    • Semi-drying liquid gasket seals joint surfaces with a tough elastic film.
    • Tolerates heat, pressure and vibration.

    Only liquid gasket I use
By far the best engine liquid gasket. Works awesome for thin coats on problematic gaskets or as sealer between crank case halves.

    Fixed transmission oil leak
I had transmission oil burning in my 2 stroke crankcase and was not the crank seal. After splitting and re-applying 4 times to get everything in right I still have some left over. Great product

    Yamabond 4
This is my first time working on crankcase and no leaks after reassembly so very happy with this product. Would recommend some sort of gloves to keep your hands clean after applying and only takes a little bit on both case halves.

    Some good stuff
Works as it should, peels off easily if you mess up and there's enough in a tube to seal probably 3 engines

    My Go To Sealant
I have used this stuff on 2 different motors now and about to try it on a 3rd. This stuff gives you plenty of time after you lay it on the cases to put them together. It does take a while to cure though (I normally leave it overnight) before you can start the engine but that is fine for me.. Dis-assembly is a breeze with this also. It sticks very well when the case are together but it is like rubber when taking them apart. You won't have to worry about this stuff cracking on you either..

    Great Stuff, one suggestion though.
This is what I chose to use on my Hodaka engine case. I felt that the best stuff probably comes from a motorcycle company and other reviews on forums found it worked good.

The container should have a removable nozzle as a clunk of the stuff kept returning and plugging the orifice. With no way to remove it, the application became a bit of a panic to constantly try to remove the plug as it just pushed back inside.

Used a small paint brush to spread the material evenly, however ruining the brush as nothing could clean it off which is probably a good show of this stuff's durability.

    Thanks,

    Quality Bond
Use it to seal up cases when doing rebuilds. As long as surface is clean, no issue with leakage after extended use

Is yamabond 4 the Yama bond that was made to replace yamabond 3? In other wards is this the stuff I should be sealing my cases with?
    Michael M on Oct 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is essentially a replacement for Threebond. Here's what Yamaha's website has to say about it. Yamabond 4 should be used where Threebond® 1215 is specified in service manual.
should I use yamabond 4 to seal between the cylinder head and the head cover?
    A shopper on Sep 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No there is a rubber gasket that goes between the head and head cover and if it is installed correctly and no rips in that gasket that is all you should need. I wouldn't use any glues unless you use very little of it. I've seen to many motors where they goop it on and it gets caught in the valves or chain and gets sucked into the motor and clogs up the oil filter in the bottom case and wreaks havoc on the motor so just use the rubber gasket dry
Can I use this to seal crank case on 2005 cr125?
    jonah g on May 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: On a 2005 cr125 there is a gasket. oem part numder 11191-KSR-730. yamabond 4 is great stuff, But personally I would use the gasket. I would use this stuff where the cylinder and the lower crankcases meet, and just dab a little there at the crease. then install the bottom cylinder gasket then the cylinder.
    How many oz is this?
