Awesome product. Very happy with trail tech stator
Consider a bunch of different stators and when with the trail tech. And I’m glad I did. Plug and play. Called the tech line and they
Guided me on the wireing diagram. Bike runs awesome now. Would suggest this stator to anyone lookin to upgrade there bike.

    2013 300 XC A+
Installation was a breeze. I just had to reroute the wiring harness a little and everything reached fine. I bought it because the stock stator went out. I like knowing I can put bright lights on if I want to.

Puts out tons of juice especially over stock unit really easy to install and I like the fact that I don’t have to have a switch for my light or fan when the bike is off

    KTM stators fail
2011-2015 KTM 2 strokes are known for their stators to fail. Mine failed on a trail, about 5 miles from the nearest road which sucked. I replaced it with the trailtech and have not had a problem since. Put about 25 hours on it so far.

If you run DC lights, you need this
This is the 3rd TT stator kit that I've used. Easy install & the TT video is actually on the TX300, it's a simple upgrade. If you have problems, the TT tech support is awesome.

    Good alternative to OEM
My stator started to show signs giving up the ghost while on a 80 mile dual sport ride. I didn't want to replace with an used stator or and online special and have no customer support if (when) things went wrong. This kit is easy to install if you are comfortable working on your own machine. While going through the parts list prior to the installation, I noticed my kit included the wrong regulator. Trail Tech remedied the situation very quickly by sending the correct one out 2nd day air! Works well with the Tusk Lithium battery

Does this stator provide 40 additional watts of power for my CRF250 or just 40 Watts total?
    A shopper on Jan 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I haven't used a stator on a honda only KTM models. I would check the technical pages of Trail Tech or ask them directly for specifics about parts for your bike.
What is the advantage of converting to dc power?
    A shopper on Apr 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Well Nikola Tesla would argue that it has many advantages over AC power, but for this case I would say that the biggest advantage is most bikes electrical components are run by DC power and upgrading your stator allows them to be run with more wattage and more efficiently.
I am using the Tusk Enduro Lighting kit along with a third-party headlight on a YZ450F. Since the YZ does not have a battery, I added the tiny battery available with the kit. I think I recall a warning to NOT charge the battery with more than 1 AMP. Will this stator overcharge the battery?
    Steve A on Feb 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: the way electrics work on motorcycles the regulator rectifier will only let the battery take as much charge that it needs. so as long as your battery is in good condition your ok. if you have a bad battery or flat battery the charge rate will more that likely be more that 1amp. I would recommend a trickle charger be used on the battery when bike is parked up this will keep the battery in top condition.
I have one of these kits but cant get powe to the switch or hd light, its got to be simple, what am i missing??Thanks 04 crf450f
    Chuck M on Oct 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This might not be the place to get a specific answer on your bike. Plus too many factors involved with wiring and everything. ThumperTalk Honda subforum might be a good place to start. I have an 07 wr450f and it was pretty much plug and play. If you have stock wiring I'd double check it was plugged in correctly. With that being said I haven't had to touch mine since I installed it. Works very well.
    will this fit a 2016 ktm 250sx?
    A shopper on Feb 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, this will not fit your machine.
I have an 05 crf250r, and I want to put a light bar on it. so besides the new stator, what else do I need to get this project to work? what would be the best way to wire it in?
    jake j on Aug 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You could either tie it into the higher output stator or you could install a small battery to the bike to run the light bar. I cant think of anything else that you would need.
Is this need to wire a single led head light on a 07 crf150r? And what is the the stock stator output?
    Calen T on Oct 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you want to add a headlight to your CRF150R, you'll need a high output stator. Your stock stator puts out about 35-40 watts which is just enough to run the ignition system.
Will this be necessary to run a dual sport lighting kit on the 05wr450f?
    A shopper on Aug 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It should not be needed to simply run a lighting kit since the stock WR stator is meant to handle the extra power output of a headlight and a few accessories. Most lighting kits now are LED anyways and draw very little power.
