Renthal’s Twinring Rear Sprocket is the longest lasting most durable sprocket you can buy, developed over five years of extensive testing. The Renthal Twinring combines a specially enhanced 7075 T651 aluminum alloy center and an ultra high strength electroless nickel coated steel outer ring. By combining these two materials Renthal has created a rear sprocket that is lighter than steel but more durable than the traditional all aluminum sprockets. The unique flat face design keeps weight to a minimum and prevents fouling on the chain guide.
  • Inner ring is a high strength Ultralight™ 7075 T651 Aluminum.
  • Outer ring is electroless nickel coated steel for ultimate durability.
  • The outer ring is expanded at 200 °C and then fitted over the inner. This interference fit combined with the wave pattern ensures a permanent bond for the life of the sprocket.
  • The flat socket head screws add additional strength to the sprocket during side impacts.
  • Self cleaning mud grooves between each tooth prevent dirt build up and reduce sprocket wear.
  • Patent pending.
  • Extensively tested by David Knight and Team Honda Off-road.

Good Product

Comments On Jun 23, 2015:The sprocket is holding up well, and seems more durable than the full aluminum sprockets. I am a little concerned about the screws that secure the steel ring to the sprocket, a couple have come loose. I re-tightened them with permanent loctite, but I think Renthal should find a more permanent way to assemble these sprockets.

Comments On Mar 13, 2015:I finally stepped up and spent the extra money on the TwinRing. It's so worth the extra money. I won't ever use anything else. Excellent product!

No complaints

Comments On Jan 27, 2015:Looks great and has virtually no wear after a summer of riding. I'll definitely buy another, if it ever wears out.

Keep an eye on it.

Comments On Sep 19, 2014:I've run these for a little while now, and while the teeth on these wear super-slowly, the tiny allen set-crews have a tendency to vibrate out to one side or the other after only ~10 hours or so. My fix was to take each set-screw out one at a time and apply a high-strength retaining compound to each one before re-installing it. That held them in place for maybe twice as long, but given how long this thing takes to wear down, you will need to adjust those little screws over the life of the ring. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I like these sprockets enough to keep buying them...

(2) years and still going

Comments On Apr 04, 2014:Simply the best sprocket I have ever purchased. Thought it was a gimick but it was not. Ride pretty much every weekend and still holding up after (2) years. I would not buy antthing else based upon my experiance

Looks good, wears out too fast.

Comments On Jun 17, 2012:I've had a few of the Renthal alloy sprockets and whilst they look great and are light as a feather, they wear out super fast, (compared to other similar alloy sprockets). I thought I'd try the twin ring as the steel outer ring should make it last a very long time. As with all Renthal sprockets, it looks great and the quality appears to be very high. I've done one desert race with this sprocket, (6 hours of riding on my KTM 505 SX) and the teeth are already showing signs of wear. That's with a new front and new high quality X-Ring chain. The OEM KTM alloy sprockets last better than this. I'll try the Supersprox version next time.
