Whats the difference between 520x86 and Master link ?
Mike O on Jan 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 520X86 refers to the size of the chain. The Master Link is one link of the chain that you can remove.
I changed my rear sprocket size from a 50 tooth to a 51 tooth and bought the 520x114 chain and it is to short. Can I add links to the chain or do I just need to get a bigger chain?
Trey F on May 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: U could add links but I wouldnt recommend this.
I would op for the right length chain
I have a KDX200 the stock chain size is 108 with a 13 /47 I have ordered a 13 /48 with a 108 will the chain fit ?
Luke S on Oct 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, where you only went up one tooth it will not affect the chain length.
if i add 1 tooth tooth to the front and 2 to the rear sprocket, how many links would i have to add to stock chain size? [114]
A shopper on May 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You will need to add 2 links to your chain (116).
I just bought a MIKA 52 tooth rear sprocket for my 2015 yz250. The stock chain was too short. Will this one fit?
Kolby C on Apr 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: So it looks like you raised your rear sprocket 2 teeth over the factory 50 tooth sprocket. For every 2 teeth you change on your sprocket, you need to change 2 links on your chain. Stock chain length is 114 links so you'll need to order a 520x116 chain.
Will this chain hold up to a kx500? I'm running an extended swing arm for hillclimbing
So I will need to buy 2 chains to fit it. Will this chain be strong enough?
adam b on Jan 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The chain is rated at 7200 lbs. average tensile strength. It should be fine on your application.
