nice alternative to other popular brands
Rugged design, replaceable wearing pad ,nice fit with stock gearing (17 KTM 300). A bit more cost effective compared to competitors chain guides .no need to remove chain to mount item or replace wearing part. Replacement part is well priced also.

    All plastic
I was replacing my stock chain guide. For some reason I thought it was a direct replacement and had the plastic coated metal. This is all plastic, which is fine, I just should have read the description better. Installation is incredibly easy.

    Not Very Strong
I ripped this thing off the first time out. Could have been rider error, but I have been riding the KTM chain block since with no issues. The plastic this is made out of seems cheap.

Best chain guide for the price
Can't beat the price vs performance value here. It a little more noisy than some other guides at first but once it breaks in the noise goes down. Great fit, performance, wear and protection. When it does wear out, just get a new wear block instead of a whole new guide.

    Really great oem replacement
I replaced the stock chain guide block with this one because the stock one got all bent up. I've had no problems with this one since I put it on my bike, that was at the beginning of last year! I will definitely buy this part again in the future!

Insert concept does not hold up to abuse.
Between my son and I we had two of these. The inserts do not last long and both of us had the same issue where hitting rocks bent them to the point where the chain rubbed through the bolts used to secure the insert. For my son the insert totally came off during a race.

    Indestructible!
This thing looks like is indestructible, best part you don't need to break chain for installation. Got it in Orange color and looks very sharp. Fit was perfect, no need for modifications. I think price is priced right for quality. I highly recommend this product.

    Acerbis chain guide
Very stout unit. Only caution is that if you run a bigger rear sprocket and have to move your wheel forward you may have to trim the bottom plate as it rubs on the chain. (2012 KTM 250 XC-w).

Does this come with mounting hardware?
    Jonathan D on May 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You use the 2 KTM bolts to mount it up. You need to remove your master link to get the chain off so you can remove your stock chain guide block. With the Acerbis the bottom comes off and its easy to mount. Takes 5 minutes.
