This perch is outstanding. Installed on my 2002 YZ250 and my brother's 2008 YZ250. Clutch pull feels a tad lighter, but is much smoother than anything else I have tried at this price point. The higher end brands might be even better, but for what this costs, it is well worth it. My only complaint is the lever it comes with. It is a long old school CR type lever. I simply swapped this out for MSR's shorter black lever. Even though the new lever does not have the ball bearing pivot, it still feels outstanding.
This clutch perch is my best friend. Bought it to replace the ugly one that included the parking brake on my 400ex. Fit like a glove and couldn't be happier. The clutch feel is a lot better, and a lot easier to pull in. I love the AOF feature makes is very easy to get the lever where it needs to be! Definitely recommend this!
I had purchased a couple other levers/perches for my 83 CR125 that I'm restoring but they just didn't feel/work as they should have, I decided to try these and they work great.
I recently installed this perch and lever on my KDX220 and I have to say I am pretty impressed so far. I've only ridden about 30 miles in tight technical terrain but I really like the feel of the lever itself and also the oversized adjuster. The detent in the adjuster feels solid and keeps the adjustment where you want it. Installation was a breeze and the included plastic piece that goes between the perch and bar fits beautifully and is purpose made for this application unlike some cheesy bit included with other perches. Overall, excellent product!
Supper easy to install and even easy to adjust and looks great!
I deleted my parking break with the Tusk block of plate and took the whole cable off and that left me with the stock perch and a gap so I went with this clutch perch and I love it!!
Makes adjusting easy because you can do it on the fly. I put it on a 400ex (you have to remove the switch in stock perch and connect your green and yellow wire). WARNING doing it this way will allow some machines to start in gear without clutch being pulled in. No big deal just make sure your key is off when your working on it.
when i opened the packaging I felt that i had got what i had paid for. Surprisingly it worked better than I had expected. - smooth - easy to adjust - lasted the whole racing reason without breaking (and i crashed my fair share)
Great product. Taken many hard hits with and without handgaurds on bike. had to move killswitch over because this is very long lever. Not a big deal great improvement over stock lever
Fits right up, quick adjuster is very cool, pops into place every quarter turn to make adjustments easy and quick. Feel is perfect and way better compared to stock lever. I'm gonna buy another one with my next order here.
This perch is a decent unit, good value. My second time buying this product because of switching bikes, easier, smoother clutch pull. My only complaint it that the two set screws on the adjuster rust.
I was expecting a cheapo, bare bones replacement lever and perch for this price. This is actually a really nice piece for the money, it's probably the same chinese pot metal that other cheapies are, but the quality and finish is very good. The adjustment mechanism works very well and looks good too. Well worth the small premium over a standard perch-lever set.
I have dropped my bike twice and didnt break. OEM bent like macaroni and cost much more. Adjuster works great. Thinking about getting another as a spare.
I have this lever and perch on all 4 bikes. We had to buy in a pinch due to race crash. My son said it was good, then another crash,This lever was bent almost 180 degrees. I put it in vise and it came straight. Most levers would have broke from impact. Definitely would have broke from the force of the Vise. Good smooth pull, looks good.and they are Tough as Nails. Like I said I changed all 4 bikes with this assembly, for a little more than the price of 1 OEM or high priced name. Th big dollar ones are for backups now.
This perch is very attractive and really cleans up the cluttered look of the 400ex bars. It performs well, I recommend pairing it with a Motion Pro clutch cable!
I replaced the mess of cable an wires on my warrior with this clean looking clutch lever. Install was a breeze and it has made a huge improvement on my machine paired with a Motion Pro clutch cable. It has a very smooth pull now, I love this product and the price was awesome.
05 400ex Stock lever had a hard pull, it was getting worn out so I replaced with MSR AOF and a new OEM clutch cable and this thing feels great. It has a very smooth pull with a lot less effort. Its also is pretty cool looking and quality seems pretty good for the price.
Coupled with a motion pro clutch cable this made the pull on the clutch 100% lighter! It is smooth as butter and feels great. Well made, easy install, and well priced!
I installed this on my KDX with a Revloc Dyna-Ring auto-clutch. Anyone who is familar with the Dyna_ring or Rekluse EXP 2.0 know that cable tension is part of the adjustment for them. Plus, I run the EBC HD clutch springs. This clutch lever has made the pull very smooth and manageable even with the heavy tension of the auto-clutch. I will be installing another one of these on my next build.
What year CR/CRF levers does this work with? I have tried a Tusk brand lever for a 2001 CR 250 and the clutch lever pivot was too thick to fit inside this perch.

I understand this takes a stock CR replacement lever but what year and model CR? There are several different part numbers listed by Honda for the CR base on year and model! I race XC and use the Fly Racing OEM style which have a rubber pad on the levers to help grip in the mud and are 1/2 shorter than stock, just on the Honda CR250 they have three different model clutch levers depending on if it is a CR or CRF and the year!!! If anyone is using a stock CR lever can you please tell me year and model of the lever. Thanks
You are absolutely correct. Bought a shorty lever to fit a 1996 CR250R and it bolted up with no issues. Fits just like the one that came with it. Thanks

BEST ANSWER:It should. I bought this perch in the past for a 2012 CRF450, but then we where out riding and my nephew crashed and broke his clutch lever. He has a KX100. I was able to remove his full clutch perch and put this one on and it worked great, so should work with just about any bike. That's the beauty of buying the full perch (not just the lever)

Will this clutch lever assembly make clutch use a lot easier then the stock lever?

BEST ANSWER:This lever has a very ergonomic design allowing for easier pull. It also has a bearing in the pivot which even adds more ease. I use this lever on all my dirtbikes. With that said, if you have other clutch problems such as a worn and notched basket, worn out cable, incorrect springs, etc. this lever won't help until those problems are corrected.

Yes and no. Depending on the platform you have it could help the ease of use along with a new clutch cable Properly routed and lubed. The lever is a CR style. The pivot point changes slightly so it may benefit you there as well. Hope this helps!
Yes it will, it is a little longer with a better leverage angle thus making the clutch pull feel litter. After I installed this I reinstalled stock lever and immediately removed it. Otherwise add a hydraulic unit.
can i replace the lever (only) for a folding/flex lever?

BEST ANSWER:This is the full lever and perch. You basically unbolt your old perch from handle bars, then just put this full unit on your bike. It's pretty sweet, cause it will work with different bikes. I keep one of these as a back up.

why does it say only for motorcycle? Will it work for 07 Honda 400ex?

BEST ANSWER:Most ATV's have a switch in the clutch perch that requires the clutch be pulled before the machine will start. This perch assembly doesn't utilize that switch and therefore wouldn't allow your machine to start.

if you hook the two wires going to the stock lever switch together it will work fine we have these on two Suzuki LTZ400's a Polaris Outlaw 525 and a Raptor 125.
