    Works well!
Easy install and works well but take note!, I bought the separate mounting bracket for mounting on tank bolt and when you mount the meter to bracket the screws must be very lightly snug or it messes up the display, I thought it was broken until I realized this. I just used a little thread locker to be safe and it’s golden! Also on my CRF450RX with oversized stock tank the separate mounting bracket you can purchase doesn’t work on tank bolt but it does work great on right side frame in front of tank, you’ll see a cable holder with two cables running through it and is has a perfect bolt for holding the bracket just behind your fork. Mounted it sideways and it works great and is pretty well protected.

    Gets the job done
Easy install, took about 10 minutes.Preforms as advertised. One button to push that cycles through HRS, RPM, Clock, Highest RPM. Happy with my purchase. The clock feature is useless because I did not buy a mounting bracket and mounted it on the side of the frame. Not a deal breaker because I always wear a watch.

    Works great, love the features.
Has allot of features, that most do not, and very usable. The aluminum mount is a perfect addition, but for the price I believe it should come with it and not have to be purchased extra.

    Great product
Impressed with the durability and the ability to stick to the frame. I used the sticky tape it came with and out it on my frame a year ago and it’s holding strong.

Tach/Hour meter is a must have!
The provided install instructions were easy to understand, plus, WC has an YouTube install video for this product. I followed the instructions and installation was about half an hour. The meter works perfectly! Tracking hours for maintenance will be very easy now with all the features of this product. Highly recommended if you are serious about your bike maintenance!

Should come stock on every bike
It's an hour meter. Does exactly what you want it to do and looks good doing it. The default setting from Works Connection is at 0.5 PPR so if you have an EFI bike you don't have to adjust it. Even if you do, there is only one button and there are good instructions that walk you through every mode and how to adjust/reset it, and also pictures of how to wrap the wire around the coil.

Make sure you think about where you want to mount it and secure the excess wire before you button everything up so you don't get it snagged on anything when you put the tank back on.

BEST ANSWER: Do you have a bolt on the top of your gas tank? If so you can put it there I put mine on the top bolt of my front number plate on my 16 yz450 you may have to call. Works conn just to be sure this is the best hour meter ever good luck
    Is it waterproof?
    John E on Oct 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi John, I have this Works Connection Tach/Hour Meter on my 2016 Beta 300rr. It is mounted just in front of the gas cap on the upper gas tank bolt. I also bought the aluminum mounting bracket. To answer your question I have not submerged it under water as of yet. But it has been very dirty and muddy and when I wash the bike I just wash it with a soapy sponge and use a pressure wash and rinse the bike. I don't cover it up or advoid getting it wet. I'm sure they made it very waterproof. This is a great meter and I do recommend it. Hope this helps John. Dave
Works connection hour meter Will this fit on a 2018 yz125 ?
    James F on Apr 22, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: James,

Yes it will. In fact, it will work on anything with a spark plug. I have one on my Honda pushmower and it works great!

The bracket (sold separately) uses an 8mm bolt to mount. You can mount it wherever it fits. If you don’t want to mess with that, you can stick it on with double-sided tape which is included in this kit.

    Hope this helps.

    Austin M.
Does this hour meter have a setting that you can preset the hours already on it, so it can just rack them up from there on out? That way you don’t have to worry about remembering.
    Jacob P on Dec 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have several of the hour meters on different dirt bikes. Not all of them are the same. The one in question I believe you can reset the hour meter and start over at zero again. It has several functions. I do like the Works Connection hour meters.
I'm thinking about getting this meter. I know this hardly ever happens but the bike i have i plan on keeping for at least 10 years. will this meter run for that long? i thought i saw somewhere that it has a battery life of 5 years and the battery cannot be replaced.
    Jason K on Aug 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi I have been running this meter for two years and it has been faultless
I had the same concerns as you originally,
However I did not find a unit that was serviceable at the time( battery wise)
The unit iworks well and for the price I was happy to log the hours every time I did an oil change and will replace the unit in another two years to be safe and just add the hours onto my log
Any idea if this will bolt right into the mount where the 2017 and up KTM hour meter sits? I'd like the tach to set the idle.
    Harry E on Aug 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The instrument cluster for the 17' models has no has surface area to attached to. I mounted this unit on my 17' 300 XC-W on top of the frame just below the steering yoke, using the double face tape provided. It has stayed secure through many washings and a few bail outs without any trouble. You could drill and tap to bolt it down but I don't think that is necessary.
