Fast, effective, affordable

Comments On Apr 17, 2016:I looked everywhere for a helicoil kit that wasn't off-the-charts expensive. Then I had the sense to look for it at RMATV. Of course they have it and it's inexpensive. Problem solved.

Awesome thread repair kit.

Comments On Jan 30, 2016:I needed to repair head on my generator for valve cover. The repair was very easy to do, so I did the other three on that head. Since the repair is much stronger than the aluminum head, I will do the other head so I won't have to do under a emergency.

Saved my butt

Comments On Dec 08, 2014:Worked great and repaired the threads I needed. I didnt realize before that taps require their own special drill bit size so buying it as a kit is the way to go.

Good value

Comments On Sep 21, 2014:This is a nice kit for the price and a great value. Used it to stud the crash bar mount on my KTM 990 - it was easy to do and is holding up fine. Beats spending big bucks for a new mount.

Saved my Butt too many times!!!

Comments On Jun 05, 2014:Works really easy and will pay for its self with one repair. Hey you don't even need to waste gas taking your part/vehicle to the shop to get it fixed.
One problem I do encounter is that in material that is thinner than the insert, you have to mess around and try and trim the coil on the back side, which can be tricky. If you screw up trimming the back side, you can often work the coil out by trying to grab the bit of coil on the back of the work piece with a set of small side cutters, or suitable tool, and pull hard and slow, the coil will unravel and if you do this carefully, you likely will not ruin the threads you cut that hold the insert in, even in aluminum.
