Black Rim arrived in perfect condition. Wanted stainless spoke nipples so went with the Pro Wheel spoke kit, rim trued up perfectly. Quality of both rim and spokes is excellent.
Solid rim, Looks good and strong paint finish. Was changing my tire and found a crack in my excel rim, $80 for this and I reused the hub and spokes. Fit perfect.

Great looking rugged rims for the price and fit my bike exactly. I would definitely buy these again. I'm looking forward to spring and putting them to the test. -m-2014 KTM 350 XC-F--
Laced it myself and it true'ed right up. After an hours riding just a couple of nipples needed re-torquing. Then they all stayed put. After one season of MX and GP the finish still looks like a million dollars. I cannot think of what more one would want from a rim.
Machine this part was bought for: 2008 YAMAHA YZ450F
Bought these for my YZ250f, it is a 2011, so it had the stock chrome rims still on it. They look sharp and seem to be holding up okay, I ride XC so they are in contact with rocks and logs all the time.

Purchased this rim for my son's RMZ250. Rocky sent 19 x 2.15 rim. Stock rim size is 19 x 1.85. I was told that's what Tusk reccomends but I feel this is not a good choice for a 250 4 stroke, as this is the size for a 450. When Pro Wheel is selected on this site, the only option for this bike is a 19 x 1.85, which is correct.

Rim has the rim lock and the hole for the inner tube nearly on opposite sides. The finish was perfect, and I laced it with the Tusk spoke kit, following Rocky Mountain's YouTube video showing me how to lace and true it. I got it within 1mm axial and radial runout. I checked the rim offset and had to move the whole rim over because I was off by 1/8".
The rim offset for a 2012 KX450f is measured from the brake disk seating surface of the hub to the outside edge of the rim at 28.5mm +or- .5mm. You will have to remove the disk and loctite it back on to a torque of 204 in lbs.

We are running this rim in Endurocross with a Golden Tyre. So far we have not had any problem. We are using an old bib mousse and it seems to be holding up to the abuse well. I was surprised at the quality for the price.
<br>We just put a weekend at the Tennessee knockout, and I am updating several part reviews. Very few will put parts through more of a test than that event. I was skeptical about this rim, but it has performed exceptionally.

I haven't put any time on the rim yet to check for strength but the installation went fine. I also haven't tried the more expensive brands but I did notice while lacing this one up and truing it there was some slight waviness (0.010") in the rim that couldn't be eliminated. The end result was still well within the runout spec so maybe I'm just too picky. Otherwise I just wish I could have had a rim in silver or natural aluminum. The black looks good when new, but is going to get beat up and the bare aluminum would not show scratches as well.

I only have 5 or 6 hours on these so far, of light riding in the dunes, but so far no issues. The wheels look absolutely great on the bike and seem to be a great value for the product received. Hoping they hold up as good as they look!

It says this rear rim will fit my WR250R which has an 18" rear but the drop down menu for this item says 19" and the other question posted about this item states the weight of the 18" rim. Does an 18" / 2.15" Tusk rim exist?
BEST ANSWER:I see that we do have the 18x 2.15 rim for this machine. You must enter in your machine, then select the color and then it will let you chose in between the 18x2.15 and the 19x2.15.
I am also trying to select an 18x2.15 rear rim for a wr250r, but it will only show a 19x2.15. Is the 18x2.15 rear rim for a wr250r still available? If so, how can it be selected?

to fit correctly you will need a 18 inch tire for a 18 inch rim, so the answer to the question is no, it doesn't fit correctly (the last set of numers on the tire size, states the size the rim needs to be,19inches)
BEST ANSWER:Dylan, I'm guessing it would. I installed this tusk rim on a 2007 CRF250R. Any of the broken spokes I replaced with the tusk spoke kit.
Unless you're in the habit of disassembling your spoke/rim/hub on a regular basis, I would guess some of your spokes will have seized to the nipples and you won't be able to get them off. You can clip em with some cutters and pull them through the spoke holes to free up your hub and then re-lace.
Might be worth picking up the spoke kit while you're at it, unless you've got some spares kicking around.

If you get the 19" rim you can use the stock spokes. I'd recommend buying a new spoke set though. You might have to cut the old spokes off if they have been on since 2004!
Need a rim for a 2005 Yamaha ttr230. 18"rear will this one work?

BEST ANSWER:While I can't speak to the clearances on the TT230, it should work. However, you should know that this rim is a bit wider than stock therefore you'll need different sized rim/bead lockers. Your tires will still fit as per usual. Additionally, you might need to grab a spoke kit to re-lace your hub; I'm going to guess that a 2005 will have a few seized spokes and will likely need to be cut off in the process. You might want to look at getting an 18" rim and spoke kit instead if you don't already have spare spokes.

What diameter are the spoke holes on the Tusk Impact rim? I need a new rim for a 78 RM125 I'm restoring and the hole on the stock wheel is approximately 6mm.
Does tusk only make 18" and 19" rear rims? I would like to get a set for my kx85 which has 14/17 inch rims. Is it maby your store just doesnt have them?
BEST ANSWER:At this time we are not carrying this size rim. However, we do hope to carry these in the future. If you would like you can check back around June for an update.
