      SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

      WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

The Bridgestone Sport Touring T30 EVO was developed in response to the growing number of motorcyclists who want a touring tire that offers them the peace of mind of consistent and comfortable performance on wet and dry surfaces - yet still gives them plenty of sporty handling and fun. The technical aim for Bridgestone was therefore to maintain T30's superb dry performance while upgrading its wet performance.
    • GT spec (heavy vehicle specialized tuning specs), with front tires developed with a structure differing from standard product patterns. The rear tires also differ in structure in much the same way. For large-size touring motorcycles and other heavy-duty models using pannier cases (saddlebag-like carrying cases placed over sides of motorcycles), the result is improved handling, lightness and loading stability.
    • Wet performance has been transformed by the development of new formula compounds that increase friction on wet surfaces. The compound applied to the front tire in combination with a compound on the center strip of the rear tire improve wet performance without sacrificing dry performance, and over a wider temperature operating range, as well as provide more stability, particularly for heavy-loaded touring bikes.
    • The other part of the equation is the T30 EVO tread design. The rear pattern has been re-engineered with sub-grooves extending to the center strip which increases water channeling away from the contact patch, giving riders more traction in wet conditions. At the same time, the curved grooves have been moved outward to create a rib along the center strip, adding stiffness to the tread for stability when accelerating. This change also increases the size of the contact area with the lean angle, adding more grip and enabling the rider to corner in greater safety.

    Best deal
Handling is very neutral and fitment is true to size. I get a bit better mileage from a Pilot Road 4, but they are quite a bit more money too. Not a very deep tread depth but they last many miles. I would say medium mileage of the brands I have run on Concours1400, ST1300, FJ09, but low end price, so best deal
