    SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

    WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

Dunlop quality in motorcycle tires is unmatched for the demands of today's high performance motorcycle's demands on a motorcycle tire.
  • Dunlop's innovative 491 Elite II motorcycle tire tread compound and computer-optimized tread pattern for high mileage and low tread wear.
  • Dunlop's innovative offset center groove provides superior water dispersion on wet surfaces.
  • RWL = Raised White Letter.

Report on Dunlop 205 tires

Comments On Aug 25, 2011:My set of D 205's were mounted to a 95 St 1100. I am a extra large kinda guy (weigh 250+) and have been accused of being heavy handed on the gas..(I don't deny). Despite this, and Michigans terrible cracked, pot-holed, frost uplifted pavement,I managed to get @ 10,080 miles on my rear D 205, (& still a little tread left). I am on my 2nd D205 rear tire, the origional front D 205 is still on the bike, with about 13K miles on it. I attempted to order a D 205 front in 110/80/18 but Dunlop no longer offers it in this size..Bummer.Joebiker 996
