    NOT a cure all but...
This is a good product BUT...

If you combine this product with a JD jetting kit and a remote idle/pilot mixture screw adjustment, it'll make your carburated "WHATEVER" adjustments much easier. I have experience with the QS3, JD kits and the remote mixture screw on various brands as well as my KTM's and found that it will indeed eliminate "bogging" and hesitation "WHEN RIDING!!" Don't spend too much time banging your head against the wall, over-heating your bike, while you try to eliminate an off-idle "bog" with quick full throttle stab...just sitting there with the bike on the stand. In the end, and when you get rid of it...you will be WAY OVER-RICH for RIDING CONDITIONS!!!

    Great Product Great service
Pretty easy installation, great instructions. I put an exaust and k/n filter, and re-jetted. I had issues with the quad either dying or bogging down and sputtering when punching the throttle. This was the perfect solution.

    Took away the hesitation
I experienced a little flat spot during quick throttle twists. I went through my carb and rebuilt it. Still had this issue. After installing the Quickshot and doing some tuning, the throttle response is crisp and linear. Very pleased with this product.

This was a very good purchase for me. I spent the last week trying to get the leak jet set up. After trial and error I decided to purchase the Quickshot. Woke the bottom end right up!!

will this help with the 4 stroke hard starting both cold and hot? bikes a crf250r
    Richard P on May 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This won't help hard starting, just low end bog. If you're having problems starting your CRF, I'd look elsewhere-like jetting or compression. Those bikes are prone to valve problems, and if the titanium valves are excessively worn and/or you don't have enough valve clearance, your valves will not seat properly which causes blow-by and essentially low compression, and very difficult to start.
would you get the R&D Racing Power Bowl 2 or Boyesen Quick shot 3 for a FCR-MX 39?

BEST ANSWER: I recently purchased Boyesen quickshot 3 for my son's CRF 150R. Upon install, I had some experienced riders talk me out of it. They claim by putting this on makes the bike throttle response in a fully on or off position. They prefer the squeeze of the throttle to increase the power when you want it. With the quickshot 3 the throttle comes on hard with a slight squeeze or the throttle. Possibly good if you want to run wide open with no real wiggle room to play with the throttle to get only a bit of power out of it. Again, they were seasoned racers and said the herky jerky feel of the throttle was not what they wanted
On install do I use the original diaphragm, spring and rubber rings?
    Timo H on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You should replace them gas destroys them it comes with some o rings also they recommend it
Hello Everyone, I have a 2012 CRF 150r and want to convert it to trail riding. I have been looking into adding a heavier flywheel. I was wondering if Boyesen Quickshot 3 accelerator pump would be a better option to help reducing stalling at low RPM's, bogging and help the bike warm-up faster? Someone suggested a 9 oz steahly flywheel and a 14t sprocket. I am looking for the easier option, as I have only a little mechanical experience. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

    Steahly Heavy Flywheel Weight
    Steahly Heavy Flywheel Weight
BEST ANSWER: Just try a smaller front sprocket first, a 1 tooth smaller sprocket in the front makes a huge difference.
Then if need be.. Get an R&D adjustable pilot screw, that will help with altitude changes which causes the obvious hard starting/stalling. Write down, or put the adjustment "turns out/in" on a piece of tape and put it on the frame somewhere, or in your phone. Otherwise you're going to probably forget the exact number.
I don't think that the quickshot is going to do the trick. Try the Flywheel last, but I honestly don't think you will need to do that install either.
    Good luck...
What is the chrome rod and black boot looking deal for?
    oscar g on Mar 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sorry, I don't understand the question. If you are referring to the adjustment screw: it adjusts the size of your leak Jet (How much fuel will be metered in to the Quickshot 3, for accelerating purposes) I used the QS3 because my bikes are souped up and during quick opening of the throttle my fuel/air ratio went lean. The Black Boot provides a extra seal and also protects the screw from getting bumped. Hope this helps. Should be noted that this device is used for accelerator pump fuel metering. This means how much fuel the accelerator pump will inject into the carb during quick openings of the throttle
Has anyone installed this on a DRZ400E ? How did it work for you?

BEST ANSWER: IF you are tring to fix the dreaded stumble you can save yourself a bit of money by doing the oring mod but instead of using an oring use a thin piece of flexible wire and basicly over ride the spring that pulls your accelerator pump cam...if u need more help you can email me b a h o w a r d 0 9 6 3 a t g n a I l but with no spaces
Does anyone know where I can buy just the adjustment screw for this? Mine's bent...

Quick shot 3 ok for a standard Honda trx450er 07 Do you have to do anything to the jets?
    Nigel G on Nov 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Follow the quick shot instructions no jetting changes are required. But if your having jetting issues now. Now is the time to resolve it. The quick shot will help make the carb that much better.
