    Details

The Eagle Mfg. Doohickey Torsion Spring is an alternate spring that can replace the coil spring that comes with the Eagle Mfg. Doohickey (idle lever). While the coil spring that comes with the Doohickey is good, some people prefer the direct tension the torsion spring gives to the Doohickey (the coil spring connects to a small stock lever behind the Doohickey).
    • The Eagle Mfg. torsion Spring is an "upgrade" for the Eagle Mfg. Doohickey (idle lever).
    • This alternate spring replaces the coil spring that comes with the Doohickey.

Great upgrade to the standard spring
Torsion spring is a nice upgrade. Combine it with the doo hickey and you got a great combo. 73,000 miles on my old KLR and plenty more to come

    Worth the work
Took a little extra time to complete the "Doohickey" upgrade, but upgrading to the torsion spring was the last step for a worry free "Doo" on my 13,000 mile KLR

    No more rattle
If you don't take the couple extra minutes to install this spring you haven't done the job right. I do wish they could offer a kit with this spring, keep the other two springs and maybe lower the price a bit.

If you do the doohickey, do it right...
Why not upgrade your spring and give piece of mind its done when you do your doohickey. The peace of mind knowing you wont be stranded in the middle of nowhere is worth the extra effort.

torsion spring for balancer lever klr650
After deciding to upgrade balancer lever & spring on my 09 klr650 & taking it apart to install I noticed the lever was not as poorly made as some articles say they are on the net , but I still installed the eagle lever & the torsion spring because it should apply even pressure during the lever adjustment.

    Better than the old
Took the cover off my KLR and saw the older do hickey upgrade spring broke, bought this one to replace, can't see how this one could ever break.

A must do if you do the Doo
The torsion spring upgrade is pretty much what Kawasaki should have done from the start. Simple, straightforward, reliable. It does require drilling of the generator case cover to install. Just remember that most videos about installing the torsion spring may not cover the newest version of this part, so if there are any questions always refer to the EM instructions.
