When T.M. Designworks feels confident enough to name their disc guard Indestructible, it pretty much speaks for itself.

T.M. Designworks has made their disc guard from a lightweight polymer known for being incredibly tough and nearly impossible to break. When the guard takes a hit Designworks’ unique "Return Memory System" lets it return to the original position for protection that just doesn’t quit. The guard won’t break, but neither will your bikes mounting tabs since the Indestructible comes with a reinforcement bracket that strengthens your stock mounting tabs. Protection isn’t all though, lightening cuts in the already feather-light guard push air towards the disc to help keep warp and fade at bay.

There’s an endless line of rocks just waiting for you on the trail. Give your rotor enough protection to meet them head on with the T.M. Designworks Indestructible Rear Disc Guard.

    Very nice and heavy duty

Comments On Feb 17, 2016:I purchased this to replace the flimsy OEM guard that is obviously not good enough if it allowed my rotor to get bent (replaced it with a TUSK rotor)
I received the guard today. Now I understand how this thing is not going to bust, bend, crack or anything. Very thick polymer. Make sure and cut both new mounting bolts down by 1/4" or the front bolt will contact the rotor mounting bolt.
    Well worth the money

    Good so far

Comments On Nov 25, 2014:Includes the two screws to mount it which are 10 instead of 8mm. Required the addition of washers to keep the bolts from overlapping with the rotor bolts. Easy fix, but not plug and play. Did not come with lock tight either, so added a dab of blue on each bolt.
Fitment required no modification outside of the washers. Mount is light, but knowing the material and how it is constructed it should hold up well. Good for not adding unsprung weight to the rear end. Looks to be a good balance between weight and durability.
Have already taken a few hits, and has done its job without issue. I will be back later to up or down vote the review depending upon how it holds up over time.

    TM Designworks Sharkfin

Comments On Sep 28, 2014:So far so good, haven't had it on my bike that long, maybe 5 / 6 ride days. Seems to be holding up.

    Does what it says

Comments On Jul 25, 2013:I wanted to replace my flimsy CR250 rear rotor guard. The ultimate would be the scotts shark fin but its more weight than what I wanted. I saw this and figured why not? Installation was very easy. So far its been in the nasties of Couer d'Alene Idaho and all over Western Washington. Long story short, no shortage of rocks and lots of roots. Zero issues!

Comments On Jul 10, 2013:These are WAY better than the aluminum ones, in my humble opinion! Excellent product, takes about 20 seconds to install. Far batter protection than stock, and won't bend or snap off like the aluminum ones. As usual, I was shocked when Rocky Mtn delivered it about two days before I expected to arrive.
