Tourmaster is in the middle of updating all their riding gear for the coming year, and for the Caliber 2.0 Pants, that means a big facelift that brings modern, understated looks to an already great 2 to 3-season cold weather pant. Looking at the Caliber 2.0 from the outside, it’s easy to tell the pants’ looks are the biggest change. The contrast stitching is gone, the external padding that was on the old pant is no longer there, and there are fewer seams on the pant as a whole, which provides a stronger construction overall.

The fit of the pant has also changed significantly with extra material getting removed so the pant is significantly trimmed down compared to the old pant that was much baggier. The end result of these changes are a pant that works in any position, from upright to full tuck, and looks good on everything from sport tourers to Africa Twins and other adventure bikes.

Internally the pants’ performance is much the same, which is a good thing. Waterproofing comes from a non-removable waterproof membrane in the pant that pairs well with the removable thermal liner—giving the pant its cold-weather designation. Comfort comes from several accordion-style panels and stretch fabrics in the crucial areas like at the hips and behind the knees.

Adjustable, CE-rated knee armor, tall entry zippers that make it easy to fit the pant over a boot, and new cargo pockets on the thighs round out the rest of the larger features. The original Caliber Pants were good, but the new Tourmaster Caliber 2.0 Pants are a distinct step up in looks, fit, and performance—and that makes the Caliber 2.0 one of the best cold-weather pants for budget-minded riders of all types.

• Side-entry ESO™ full length zippers and ¾-length liner zipper allow for ease of dressing.
• 600 denier Carbolex® shell constructed with 1680 denier ballistic knee panels and seat of the pant.
