Works like it should.
Solid unit at the right price. Small collars that hold the axle shaft in place tend to rub on the bearing allen bolts and make a bit of noise but I would by again.

Great value! Can't replace Spokes and rims without it.
I highly recommend the truing and balancing stand from Tusk. It’s built very solid and is priced right. The only suggestion I would give is for the pointer to have a different way to tighten. When you tighten it, the pointer moves with it so there is a fine line of being tight and also pointing where you want it. Solid value in the end.

Used twice, so far works great
I laced two wheels with it and so far easy enough to use and did the job. My only complaint would be when you torque on the spoke wrench some times the wheel will come off the cradles as they just sit there.

Satisfied
I'm happy with the unit. Was pretty easy to use. I used some WD40 on the bearings to get them spinning freely. I got the unit mostly for the bonus truing feature...I ride a bike with aluminum wheels so this really wasn't necessary but if I get another bike I have the feature already in the tool

Great product for the price!
I'm not sure what all the naysayers are thinking. Yes, the instructions are not in the box. You can download the 1 page sheet on the product page here. They have great videos that teach you how to true a wheel. I just finished re-lacing a 21" wheel with new spokes, trued it and torqued them in under 30 mins using this stand. Much easier than my old method of taping a pencil to my forks and trying it on the bike!

Will this balance a 21 inch wheel with the tire mounted?
Anthony S on Apr 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, from the bottom diameter of my 21" wheel with a MX52 mounted, it is almost exactly 13". from the bottom of the stand to the maximum diameter of the centering cones is 14.5". You should have a minimum of 1.5" to spare
Will this work for a 2012 R6?
A shopper on Aug 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If wheel will fit through the rod it should work fine I would think. I have one for dirtbikes but I don't see how a street bike would be different. As long as your axle is no bigger than 32mm wide from what Info says. Probably be best to contact Rocky Mountain personally on this one.
does this stand work with a Honda VFR rear wheel?
Lance C on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your responses.

Does this stand work for balancing a rear wheel from a motorcycle with a single-sided swingarm? My Honda VFR, like many BMW and Ducati motorcycles, has a single-sided swingarm. The rear wheel does not have bearings in it, does not have an axle, does not have an axle hole. Like many Ducati's and BMW's, the Honda VFR rear wheel bolts directly onto a hub assembly. Thus, to balance the wheel, adapters are needed to fit inside the wheel's center hole. The conical adapters for normal wheels and their axles that go through the wheel from one side of a two-sided swingarm to the other side of the swingarm will not work for the VFR.
Could this be used to true a crank? Set a dial indicator up on each side? I haven't seen this in person.
BRETT W on Nov 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I’m going say no not with out modifying the tusk stand. I just don’t think the legs on the stand come close enough together
what are the torque specs for the spokes on this rim?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a truing stand. For spoke torque specs the best thing would be to refer to a owners manual or service manual.
What is the diameter of the 'shaft, and what is the smallest wheel bearing this will work with ?
Randy J on Aug 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: it is 15mm. that is the smallest bearing size you can put on it.
