    Details

The Comp 5 is a great boot, but if you ride a lot of trails or cross country it may not be your best option. The Fox Racing Comp 5 Offroad Boots are the twin brother of the original Comp 5, taking all the core traits that make the Comp 5 so capable and wrapping them up in a package that’s purpose built for riding in rough and untamed off-road terrain.

If you like Fox’s Comp 5 you’ll likely love the Comp 5 Offroad because it has all the durability, comfort, flexibility of the original Comp 5.

What’s different is that with the Offroad you get a robust, heavily lugged sole designed for outstanding traction. And with such a rugged sole you’ll get traction whether you’re putting a foot down in loose mud, pushing off over wet logs, or trying to get a leg up on any nasty terrain you find while riding.

      Specs:
    • The Offroad outsole offers more traction in messy, loose terrain
    • Easy to Operate Aluminum Soft-Touch pivot lock buckles
    • Engineered for the entry level rider with a high quality look and feel
    • Race bonded outsole, specifically molded for each size boot. This enhances durability and comfort. It also gives the boot a new modern look
    • Anatomically contoured shin plate and medial plastic.
    • Full leather upper construction. Pliable and comfortable right out of the box
    • The Comp series is built with all day comfort in mind

Doesn't live up to the name
I bought these last November because they were on closeout for a great deal if I remember correctly. I have normally worn AXO brand because they were cheap and while they did not last too long, my feet were growing any way so it didn't matter. However, I am 21 not so not growing any more and these were such a great deal I decided I'd get something better than AXO.

However, after only two weekends of riding I have torn a hole in the side of the boot. I would have expected better quality from a brand like FOX, my AXO's lasted at least three years, these did not even last a half a year.

I would try to return them or get them under warranty, but it is too late. I'm sorely disappointed and will be going back to AXO.

    Great boots but not amazing
I really like these boots for the price. They are not super light and the some of the leather material I hope will last as I only have had these for a couple months. I am keeping them clean and the leather conditioned because I am not sure about if these will last.

    Good Value
The boot is very comfortable. I wear for true off road riding and adventure riding. They are very comfortable to ride in and especially to walk in. They are neither waterproof or water resistant. I do wish they had a metal toe piece to provide more protection.
    I would purchase again.

    great all around boot!
so far so good, I ride a lot of adventure/ hard stupid riding... these boots fit the bill 100% they feel way lighter than my last set that was the tech 7 ( may just feel like it,) they are really well built and are very comfortable to stand on the pegs as long as I want to with out having to shift around all trip. plenty of ankle support ( I need if because I destroyed my ankle casing a jump a few years back in a pair of fly boots. all around a great trail boot. I mainly ride endure trails, so single track, rocky, sand, New Mexico desert and mountains .

    Poor design
I liked the tread and comfort of these boots but after only two rides the straps tore across the stitches on both boots its just a poor design the stitches pretty much cut the strap there's no meat holding them on other than where it's stitched.

    Grate for all day riding
Good boots, the only down fall is in deep wood and rocks the bottom buckles open to easily, also they run a size small.

Great MX style boots on and off the bike.
I have five hundred miles (300 on the pegs through rocks and brush, 200 highway) of dual sport riding on these boots now and am very pleased. The whole one size up thing held true for me.
