Tusk Trilobite 27” 8 ply d.o.t. tires vs 26” stock tires on a 2017 Arctic Cat HDX 700 XT. Impressed so far at 600 miles!
I purchased these to replace stock tires on an Arctic Cat HDX 700 XT. The Tusk tires are 27” tires vs stock 26”. These radial tires perform much better than stock over every surface driven on, especially pavement and rough road conditions. The ride is smoother and handling is much better with no loss of top speed or power. The 27” tire is a true 1” taller tire when aired to 18 PSI with no fitment issues related to steering, body/frame contact or suspension. I have 600 miles on the tires so far, driven over pavement, gravel roads, rock trails and now snow cover with excellent grip and no signs of wear or damage (stock tires made it 1400 miles and were very poor condition). No vibration at speed, mounted on stock rims. Be sure to read mounting instructions and align colored dots to rims accordingly. Very satisfied with purchase and performance so far.

Great tires
I searched for a long time and decided to try the Tusk terrabite radial. I have a Yamaha Viking and installed 27x11x12 on STI HD4 rims around and love them. I have been in muddy trails hills and loose rocks and they are great. Much better than the factory Bighorn 2.0 that was on it from factory. For our kind of trail ridding in Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia I couldn't be happier. They ride smooth but if you let it set for a couple of weeks they will flat spot but after riding a little they will smooth out.

Great!!
Love these because they will mainly be used on hard serviced roads to and from trails, great customer service and very fast delivery, had them on and using them in less than a week from day we ordered.Fit right on the rims that came with the machine.Raised machine up enough to give us more clearance in the big rutty muddy trails.

Perfect for the weekend warriors
This tire is great for the hard pack roads and trails. Does pretty good in light to moderate mud and sand. If your riding takes you into the deep red clay type of mud something a little more aggressive would be a better choice. This tire will preform alot like a aggressive mud tire on a truck or jeep

Terrabite tires!!
Just purchased these and took them to the Rubicon trail! Must say i was very impressed with the grip, traction and control on the rocks. We put some wear on them but seems that the tires will hold up to their value. I will buy these again and recommend to anyone looking for 30" tires for their rzr! Thanks RMATV for another great Tusk product!!

Will the 27 inch fit a 2009 Polaris RZR (50")? I currently run 26 X 8 (F) and 26 X 9 (R) on stock rims
A shopper on Aug 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You will need to take measurements of the clearance of your machine with the tires on it now to determine if the larger tire will fit without issues. But probably, yes.

I have a 2013 Ranger 800 (full size). Wondering if 27" tires will fit okay even with using tire chains?
A shopper on Oct 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes they will. I have a 2010 and have 27" tires on mine. They do not rub and I have tried tweaking it every which way possible. I did crank up the adjustable shocks which gives a an extra inch or two of clearance.
What is the sidewall ply rating ?
A shopper on Aug 30, 2016

What width of rims will I need to put the 30x10x14 on my 2015 rzr 1000? Can I use my stock rims? Which rims will fit? The front rims or just the rears???
A shopper on Aug 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can use all of the stock rims. I have had them on both a 7" and 8" rims . It will not give you any problems. Even on the skinny front rim I really like the tires had them in Colorado. Works great in rocky terrain

BEST ANSWER: Rick, I, think you should fine with the 27 Terrabites. I put them 27X9,all the way around on my RZR 900 trail no issues. You will gain a full inch in height. Since you are staying with the same width you should not have a problem. Craig.

i have a can am maverick XDS turbo with stock28" tires if i put 30" terrabites will i loose power ?
James B on Oct 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Due to the tire being larger in size and heavier you may notice a feeling of loss of power. Really it is a clutch issue engaging at the wrong time. Your stock clutch is set up for the stock wheel and tire size. It is always recommended to do clutching work, to compensate for the larger tires. Thats what I did with my rzr 900 when I went up 2 inch in tire size.
I have a Polaris General 4 with 27-11-14 on the rear and 27-9-14 on the front. I am want to go with taller tires and was wanting to know if I can go with Tusk Terrabite 32x10x14 without a lift or will they rub?
alan s on May 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You will have to lift if you go to 32". I have the new Terrabite tires and so far they are preforming great.
On the Tusk Terrabite tire. In the video you said you use them a lot. I have a Polaris XP 4 Turbo car. It will be all Desert driving. What size do you recommend, 30" or 32"? Can the car handle 32's. It's completely stock.
dan a on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: it can handle 32's. however its harder on things like wheel bearings, and axles. most people run 30's on their turbos and love it!
I have a Kawasaki MULE Pro-FXT, it is a 1900 lb machine. What is the load rating on these tires and would they be compatible with this machine?
HOWARD S on Aug 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My teryx4 is about 300 pounds lighter than your mule. I hated my stock tires and I know the machine was to heavy for stock tires since the day I bought it and endured up with a punctured side wall the second time I went riding. I purchased t he terrabites because of the 8ply rating. I filled all 4 tires to 11.5 psi and went for a ride and was really rough so I lowered air to 10 psi and rides much better and tire sidewalls do not have as much give. They hold up well when going over rocks my stock ones with 13 psi looked they were flat when trying to go over rocks. So I would say these will hold up good with your machine. Only problem I have with tire so far is they throw a lot of rocks just like a regular truck tire.
Can front tires be used on all four corners of a rzr 4-900?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I put 27x9x12 all the way around my 2011 Rzr 800 trail. I did put 3/4 inch spacers on the rear because the motor mount would rub on the passenger rear tire when the suspension was fully extended. Love the Terrabite tires.
How wide a wheel or narrow , to run the 27x11x12?
PAUL C on Jul 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have 8" wheels up front 10" in the back but I'm running the 30's.
I have a 2013 Polaris rzr xp4 900. can i run 30" Terrabites all around? And what would be the best fit for that vehicle with Terrabites and what brim size? Many thanks
A shopper on Sep 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You will need to measure the wheel clearance your machine to determine if it will accept a 30" tire and make that decision. A common size wheel to run with these tires is a 14x7 or a 14x8, depending on what brand of wheel you're interested in.

Anyone have the actual measured height of a 30x10x14 mounted on a 14x7 rim on a rzr?
A shopper on Mar 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have the 30x10x14's on my 1000 S. The measure exactly 29 inches at 10-12 psi. Great tire on hard pack and light mud. Not the tire for you if you like playing in the deep mud. They handle and ride better than the Dirt Commanders.

BEST ANSWER: No sir they are not directional and have been the best tire i have found for all around use
What Tire Pressure Pressure is recommended for these tires?
KURT R on Apr 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am running about 12 lbs. So far the ride and handling are good. I plan to try 8 and see how they perform. I would trade a little handling for a softer ride but I really like the tires. I have the 28 inch ones on custom aluminum 14 inch wheels and was a little nervous about clearance but so far its a all good. I'm hoping they wear better than a more open tread as I run on pavement a lot.
for a spare tire will the front tire fit on the back?
TONJA B on Apr 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Tire will, but the better question is the wheel- if you install these on your stock wheels most ATV's & UTV's have different offsets & widths and wheel will not swap back to front. Most will go front to rear though. Aftermarket wheels, they will depend on the wheel offset.
