Works but difficult to keep on rim

Comments On Aug 12, 2012:I purchased these in addition to the Tusk brand of protectors. The rear tire change was my first ever and wanted to make sure I had sufficient wheel protection before starting. It was difficult to keep the RimShield on the wheel as any amount of movement would cause the device to fall off the wheel. They did seem strong enough and I never felt as if they would break but unlike the more conventional wheel protectors they did not want to clamp to the wheel when using.

Comments On Oct 11, 2011:I used mine one time before they cracked and fell apart. Worked good the first time, they just aren't durable enough.

Works, but didn't hold up

Comments On Aug 22, 2011:Just used it to spoon a Dunlop 803 onto a black rim.
Works well to protect the rim until the last couple bites on the tire iron. Then it's hard to get it in & out.
Only issue is that one of them cracked on the 1st use. That's the reason for the low rating.

Broke the first time I used them

Comments On May 31, 2011:Good concept, but they split the first time I tried them out. Major fail...
