Meant for freshly groomed tracks or soft terrain

Comments On Feb 04, 2016:First ride with these tires was 4 days after a heavy rain in SoCal. Excellent traction - can tell that's what they were designed for. However, after the trails dried out 2 weeks later, I was sliding all over the place and washed out on trails I've been riding for years. Tires are for soft terrain, not meant for hard by any means.

good inexpensive tire for tubeless rear use

Comments On Jan 26, 2016:Used at 8 PSI with the tubeless setup in desert/rocky riding. Traction is as good as any standard Medium tire on trails, no knob tearing or loss issues with low pressures and tubeless setup as I have experienced with other tires, about average wear. Given the performance and price I rate this a 5 star tire for my use. Compared to the Maxxis Desert IT (my default go to tire) this has similar cornering, better drive when it is on the loose side due to more void, and slightly faster wear (likely due to the same thing that makes it get better loose traction). Not hard to spoon on like others have noted. Looks smaller than comparable sized tires, but no issues outside of perceived size.

decent tire for the $$

Comments On Jan 09, 2016:Good tire for the money. Wears quickly on pavement but this bike spends 95% of its time on dirt.

Nice Looking Tire, Lots of Traction

Comments On Dec 03, 2015:Good thick casing, Awesome traction in the grass, soft loamy woodland floor, and hard wet clay. I was impressed with the versatility of the tread pattern and compound. If you spend a lot of time riding on concrete or pavement consider a dualsport tire instead.

Runs small in width

Comments On Nov 24, 2015:K760 Trakmaster II 100/90X19 runs almost 1/2" narrower than the same size Dunlop MX52. Tire has worn well on terrain from the track to hard pack gravel. Would buy again for hard terrain but in a 110/90X19.

Trakmaster II

Comments On Nov 14, 2015:Great budget tire that looks MEAN! Easy to install. Handles great on dirt and street. Will get about 4K out of the tire. Great combination with a D606 on the back.

Great in sand, mud. Easy to mount

Comments On Nov 15, 2015:Just finished my 3rd rear and consistently got 2500 miles out of them before their performance offroad suffered. I ride mainly desert terrain like soft sand, loose rocky climbs, but I do travel up to NM and ride the rocky mountains several times a year. About 60% dirt and 40% road.
The front is ok, but washes out sometimes in sand and deflects more than usual on rocks. The rear, however, does awesome in soft sand and other desert conditions. The only place it lacks is on loose rocky hill climbs with larger sized rocks. It tends to deflect side to side unless you air down to about 10psi and take it easy. Does surprisingly well on wet roads, no problems on the highway. Can comfortably cruise along at 70mph, but they do get loud as they wear. Overall I will buy again because I mainly ride desert and they are cheaper than others.

hard to beat for the price

Comments On Nov 05, 2015:as far as knobbies go, great tread life, pretty good offroad traction in all environments, onroad is about what youd expect from a knobby. and hard to top for the price.
